i m still feeling nausea ,abdominal discomfort , chest pain after using it for colonoscopy and yes i m feeling like going to the toilet again and again

I used PEG-3350/Electrolytes unflavored to prepare for a procedure. Took 1/2 of the gallon about 15 hours before procedure, and second 1/2 about 5 hours prior. Says that you should finish 2 liters in 1 to 2 hours. The taste of this stuff makes this hard, but not impossible. Depending on what you are allowed by your doctor in your clear liquid diet you will probably need a chaser. The first half I just chased with water which did nothing for the taste. I got a bit bloated when I started before it starts working, but about an hour after start I was emptying out QUICK. For the second half I started at 4 A.M. and I pretty much had my whole set-up in the bathroom (water, apple juice, PEG3350) which made it a lot smoother. I was pretty much able to keep the 8oz/10min schedule. Although on the last glass, I vomited up some of the solution because the taste is horrid. Other than that nothing too bad about this stuff, works like is supposed to. Seem to be pretty much back to normal day after procedure. I followed the directions really close. I was not able to use the flavor packets because those have artificle sweetners. What helped me was the following: I saved some small empty bottled water bottles (240ml) and filled them with the solution. I cut a straw in half to make it short and then started timing the drinking. I didn't sip and went for it. After 3 bottles I slowed down to more time in between. Could not have done it w/o eatting popsciles in between. Worked with in 1 hr. Ive only taken a liter and 1/2 but things are almost clear and I plan to stop once they are. I kept telling myself I'm so grateful for this test and for the Docs who do them. My sister passed away from colon cancer so what do I have to complain about? God BlessRead More Read Less

Had to take this for a colonoscopy prep. From the first glass it made me have severe nausea. I never could throw up, but I sure wanted to. It took over 8 hours before I finally had to go...never did run clear. It did not push all the fluid into my intestines, rather I ended up with severe edema in my legs. Also having heart palpitations, chest pains, kidney pain and nw back pain. All these symptoms started when I began taking it. It's now the third day since taking it, and I still feel terrible. I experiencec bloating and nausea from the start. During the process, I also experienced vomiting and had to slow down the process to every 10 minute process to 20-30 minutes. That worked well so I will keep that in mind for the next time. After the colonscopy procedure, the doctor report iritation in my colon. My lab work prior to the procedure showed normal labs - or remission for my Ulcerative colitis. Now I have a flareup and need to take prednisone in addition to my UC medications. I mixed this solution with cold water and Gatorade provided as instructed by my physican. I finished the medication and then felt really bloated and nauseous. I finally started to have bowl movements almost 3 hours later and was up until 3 AM. I still felt nauseous in the morning and had 3 more bowel movments before my colonoscopy at 12:30 PM. I still feel a bit nauseous 24 hours later.

In my case this drug was grossly ineffective. It just didn't work! After over three hours use, no BM was produced.

Male, 71, 6'1", 199 lbs. I have never consumed anything so vile. I could hardly keep it down. Yeah, it did empty my bowels but it shredded by anus in the process. God bless "Baby Wipes" and Vaseline.

Age 48 female 5'5" 145lbs Tasted like mild solution of baking soda and water 8oz at a time is not too much Drank every 10 min until empty Stayed home drink the day started at noon. First bm at 3. 1st bm ended watery. Continued watery bm's Surgery tomorrow at noon

Hard to drink solution every fifteen minutes.

This was so easy, no cramping, very comfortable, what a change from last time!!

The first few glassfuls were easy, but then it got difficult to keep drinking... tasted awful until I added a few drops of stevia, then it just tasted bad. To make it worse, my stomach bloated, making it even harder to drink. And I'm a 6 foot 200 pound man! I think it'd be really difficult for a lighter individual.

Made me sick to my stomach. Could only take half before I vomited it and could not keep it down. Took HOURS to work. I was up all night and almost missed my appointment. Start this in the morning or early afternoon. DO NOT WAIT until late afternoon/evening. It takes hours (4-6 or more to start working).

It makes me feel like I am going to vomit, but I kept it down and now I am constantly running to the bathroom every 5-10 minutes.
