I am 26 years old and have been suffering from toenail fungus for 6 years. It started with one bad toe from a bad pedicure. I ignored the one toe and it spread to 3 other toes. I have tried the topical polish for years and spent a great deal of money on laser treatment, none of these treatments worked. This year it spread to my big toe and I could not longer take it! I am almost in my third month ...

My first dosage ingested at 2pm on full stomach. a hour walk followed. at 5pm had 1 bottle of light beer. 9pm had pizza dinner. 10 pm face feels numb/swollen (i.e. not normal). kind of worries me.

I was on this medication for 5 days. On day 3, I became very agitated, stressed, and tired. Day 4, I wanted to drink (in recovery for alcohol and drugs). I did not drink, but I ate unhealthy food. Now, I'm a compulsive overeater. Day 5 - I was a MESS! My body absorbs differently due to RNY gastric bypass. I've had difficulty concentrating for 2 months now. I'm making more mistakes at work, feels like I'm dyslexic or something. What used to be so simple is now extremely complicated. If you have anxiety issues, don't start. If you are in recovery for alcohol or drugs.. don't start. Read More Read Less

I wish I hadnâ??t taken this drug. Only took it for 2 weeks. After the first week my head was itching so bad I thought I had head lice. I was having an allergic reaction and I break out in a rash ALL day long. Wherever my fingernails touches my skin welts appear. I literally took my fingernail on my leg and spelled out my name. Within seconds you could see my name appear in the form of welts on my leg. My doctor said theyâ??d never seen anything like it before. Iâ??ve talked to several pharmacists who say it stays in your bloodstream for 3-4 days after you stop takings it BUT it is a very slow release from your skin and nails that can take up to 3 months before it is completely out of my body. I cut all of my finger nails very short to prevent them from touching my skin which has helped some. Iâ??ve had this going on for a month! Benadryl helps but I canâ??t take it at work. One of the ingredients in it is hydrochloride acid. Itâ??s definitely not worth taking and can be very dangerous because it has caused liver damage to some people. If your going to take it your doctor is supposed to do a liver function test before using it and every 4 weeks while your taking it. Always read the reviews online by checking multiple review sites, the insert that comes with the prescription and talk to your pharmacist about it. Read More Read Less

I'm on my 4th 30 pill bottle and I believe the last. I have had a fungal infection on my big toenail for years and didn't get it checked out because it didn't grow. Within month's at the end of 2018 it more than doubled in size to about half of my big toenail. Since taking this my toenail is growing back the color it should be and I'm just waiting for the white to grow long enough to get rid of it. I can't wait! The only side effect I have noticed is that my Urine and Bowel Movements have had a metallic like smell to them.Read More Read Less

I was afraid to take this drug because of the reviews. I had no side effects whatsoever. I've been in it for a week now, but not sure if it's working.

I am 2 months into using this drug and I have not seen any progress. I have Toenail fungus on my big toe only, which I have had for more than 2 years. I am still using this drug and realise I have mood swings and I am constantly tired. I also have difficulty swallowing medication therefore its not really going great for me right now. Especially not seeing any change or improvement is making me wonder if its even worth going through such symptoms for a drug that isn't seeming to help. I hope I can leave a positive review once I have completed my course. Read More Read Less

I took this medicine for 90 days, and started to get painful mouth sores about 60 days in, but didnâ??t realize that they were being caused by the Terbinafine until I had finished taking it and saw my podiatrist. I have been off the pills for a week an a half and I still have the sores. They are extremely painful and are all over the inside of my mouth and down my throat. Eating and even speaking are very painful â?? and I had to take a few days off of work because I was in so much discomfort. I have been off the pills for a week and half and the mouth sores remain....I was told that there isnâ??t much that I can do other than gargle with salt water, and wait for them to go away. My toenails are not growing in clear yet, so itâ??s hard to say if the medicine even worked. I would never have taken this medicine if I knew how I would be affected by it. Read More Read Less

Fortunately I'm not one of the small number of people who experience negative side effects with this medication, because after years of trying everything under the sun to no avail, finally â?? improvement! I was on this before and having great success with it but had to cut treatment short because I had to be on another medication for something else and my doctor didn't want me taking them both at the same time. It was awful because during that time it came back with a vengeance. When I was able to start taking it again I was afraid it might not work because in that time my feet had gotten so much worse and maybe my body had built up some sort of resistance to the drug. Fortunately, that hasn't been the case. I'm so happy to be on this medication again. My nails are looking so much better and my feet feel amazing!Read More Read Less

I took this for just under 2 weeks and ended up in hospital with a severe allergic reaction. I spent 5 days in hospital with a lot of medication and painkillers being pumped into my body. I had urticaria, reactive arthritis and hypersensitivity type 1. I was later diagnosed with Joint Hypermobility Syndrome due to this medication. I'm also being tested for other conditions that link to my joint problem. I'd advise people be cautious of this medication. I'm 22 and have the physical body of a 90 year old. Read More Read Less

I've had a fungal infection on my lower leg and after two weeks of taking the meds there is a big improvement. Now at 3 weeks not much more improvement, after reading the other reviews I hope that I don't have to take this drug too long. My Dr. gave me a 90 RX and I see him after a month to determine whether to get a blood test.

I took one dose in the evening and after only a few hours had cramps and diarrhea. I couldn't believe only one dose would cause that side effect. I took Immodium so I could go to work the next day. Did OK until after lunch then the cramps started again. I am a teacher, so I couldn't just leave the room. Terrible gas. After the students left, I was able to go to the bathroom and had bloody diarrhea. My doctor's nurse said not to take it again (like I would be so stupid to do that) and to go to the emergency room if the diarrhea persisted. I just went home, took more Immodium and drank lots of water. Still had cramps and gas the next day. What a waste of money and time to even try this medication.Read More Read Less

Very bad ringworm for months that would not go away. It only took 3-4 days for the ringworm to go away. Still taking it for the next month per-prescription.

After 1 week I started getting arthritis like symptoms in my hands. After 2 weeks the pain was severe and the fingers on 1 hand started swelling. I stopped the medication. I will talk to my Dr. about this in a few days at next appt.
