No side effects for me. My infection started to leave after the first dose.

Developed high blood pressure immediately.

Taken for a cyst that ruptured to prevent further infection. Started getting side effects after the very first pill. Super dizzy and nauseous. Palms also became very sweaty and I was shaky. Not fun.

I have recurring sinusitis but not in a long time. I took a trip and caught a cold which developed into sinusitis. I had no ill effects from the drug. I took plenty of water and food soon after taking the dose. I may have been close to the end of the infection anyway, but it definitely cleared up after a few days with this medicine.

Some stomach issues but only taking it for two weeks, can deal with that.

After undergoing 'TURP' procedure two weeks ago to address enlarged prostate, and taking a single dose of this medicine today for an unrelated skin infection, I have a LARGE amount of blood in my urine. It was very alarming to see that amount of blood coming out. I do not have any of the other side effects at this point, but I also purchased a high quality pro-biotic to address any digestive tract ussues. The doctor prescribed this medication because she thought I had a UTI. It turns out I did not have a UTI, but she told me to finish the prescribed dose. The feelings of nausea, shaking, chills, restless sleeping, stiff neck and swollen lymph nodes are just a few symptoms I experienced. The last symptom I had was a stiff neck and my head hurt to the touch. I couldn't even stand to wash my hair. I have been off this medicine for 2 days now and woke up this morning with an itchy swollen rash all over my body. I do NOT recommend taking this medication. See if there is another option. Easy enough to take, 2 pills a day with water. The pills are really big and don't have a smooth coating so I had to take it with a huge gulp of water to get it down without sticking to my tongue or back of my throat. Only side effect I've had is loss of appetitie and it's very apparent. I can go all day without eating and not feel hungry, even at dinner I can eat and will eventually feel full as though I were starving, but i never FELT like i was hungry. Ordered to take after basil cell skin cancer was removed from 92yo female's right upper forehead to reduce the chance of infection. Within 24 hours major inflammation and swelling occurred to both legs and lower arms. Could not be restrained from inching. Drug was discontinued and by 12 hours arm rashes were declining and small reduction to rash in legs.

Just started on this drug for the third or fourth time this year due to UTIs. I get all the symptoms: nausea, headache, clouded mind, fatigue, some muscle weakness, and overall I just don't want to do anything other than lay in bed with my cats. That being said, each time I've taken it, it has relieved the symptoms of my UTI within a day or two. Once completed, the symptoms seems to go away pretty quick. I was given this for an infection of my toe. It hasn't helped at all and the infection hasn't ceased up.

BAD Drug,do your reserch. For my mosquito bites infection. Not worth using ahh the agony. By my 2nd dose started the intestinal cramps X10. Uncontrollable diarrhea and pain. If your prescribed this medication I strongly recommend that you ask for an alternative.

I was prescribed SMZ/TPM DS 800-160MG 1 tab 2x/day for 15 days for a severe sinus infection. I am on day 10 of 15. In addition to having trouble sleeping (I am writing this at 2:15am) I have had heart palpitations for the last four days. I am super sensitive to caffeine and other stimulants … not sure if this contains any kind of stimulant. The irregular heartbeat is scaring me, so I am going to ask to be taken off of the medicine. Cleared up my infection. 10 days twice a day. The night before my last dose I woke with back spasms. Then I noticed a few red dots on my chest. Following my last dose I experienced SEVERE chills and shivering and had a 102 fever, sore eye muscles, a rash on my chest, belly and arms and petechiae on my ankles. I never react to meds and don't usually have weird things happen to me. Won't use this med again.

I felt no side affects at all. In fact I had to keep reminding myself I was taking medication.

Took this to treat a UTI. It was 3 days worth (2 pills per day, 6 pills total). The pills were HUGE for someone like me who struggles to swallow pills. I experienced some minor headaches and an upset stomach. The worst part of it is I got a yeast infection after it. I'm not even sure if my UTI is completely gone either because I still feel a little uncomfortable. Maybe it's just the yeast infection though :/

The medicine works, but its not pleasant.So sick, I spent half the night over the toilet. I've only drunk water for the past two days without any food, Definite loss of appetite. I feel half dead. I keep getting dizzy spells, just when you think you're getting better it gets worse.

This is my last day, 7, with this drug. No problem other than occasional diarrhea. Taken to prevent infection after prostate biopsy and cystoscopy.

I was prescribed to take two tablets of this medication every day for my severe acne alongside two topical skin treatments. I had no side affects other than my skin becoming sensitive to sun exposure and the occasional upset stomach in the morning. After part of my treatment I was acne free for a few months (I no longer took the tablets even though it was still advised to do so). My acne has come back full force since then and now I am starting treatment with this medication once more.

Took the meds as prescribed by dr. 2 per day for 10 days. I took one in the am and the second one religiously 12 later - everyday until meds were exhausted. Symptoms got better, but never went away - 2 weeks later the sinusitis is back in full swing. Miserable again, another doctors visit. Hoping for a Z-pack this time... that ALWAYS does the trick.
