I was being treated for a lung infection. In two days this medication caused me to have an extreme case of diarrhea. This caused an infection and blistering which took me about 4 weeks to get over. I also had a severe stomach ache. I was not helped and I threw most of the med. out.

The Augmentin XR SR 12 HR TAB GLAXO SK has worked fine, & I am on day 2 of the 10 days. I have not had any problems as the ones mentioned before and plus I am getting so much better as we speak.

This is the only thing that has worked to get past this ongoing sinus infection. I have experienced dizziness, near syncope, and a fall which were my fault because I moved too quickly upon arising - need to move slower until I have my balance and I am sure I won't fall or faint.

my wife has been taking this med for 7 days due to cellulitis, she has been having chronic nausea and has vomited once and had stomach cramps on day 7

This medication made me sick to my stomach even with food. I have gotten worse each day with stomach discomfort, diarrea, and unexplained weight gain. I would not recommend this drug for anyone.

Rash, Facial Swelling after 5 days of treatment. Disorientation & Dizziness.

My infection was 1st treated with Z-Pack. After no improvement in 2 days, my doctor switched me to Augmentin XR, which covers more types of bacteria. I felt some improvement within 12 hours and then steady improvement in the next few days. Yes, there are side effects, such as diarrhea, but that can be handled easily. It was obvious that my severe infection was not improving until I began this medication. It is well worth any minor side effects. After 3 days, while still feeling weak from being so ill for over a week, I continue to improve and am very grateful for this powerful antibiotic! pleasant, no side effects, felt immediate relief after just a couple days

one year almost to the day I had surgery sinus removed. now again i have a sinus infection. Doctor subscribed Augmentin 1,000mg x4 a day. for 21 days. I am developing a yeast infection which I have only had one in my life time so fare. On the ninth day I wake up in the morning and have a rash on the upper part of both legs and half way up my belly though out the day I now have a rash on my arms. called doctor said to stop taking drug. I really thought it was working for me.

This is my 2nd round of antibiotics (1st round was with Z-pack) for bronchitis. The tablets are hugh. For whatever reason, it created diarrhea but managed with yogurts prior to taking medication.

maybe i should switch to a differentc anti-biotic.

I was prescribed 1000mg x 4 times a day. The pills are so big that i had to break them apart even though they are not supposed to. So in turn i had a rash and it made my urine smell terrible. Now 10 days later i am still sick and on a different antibiotic and still have pneumonia.

been taking for 4 days now for broncitis. still have pain in throat and coughing alot. will continue for 6 more days, hope it helps with the problem

iam taking the meds for cellulitus. the only thing that I did not like about the meds it that it made me have horriable gas!! It also made my urnine and bowel movements smell like penicillian. I don't think I would want to be on these meds again. I am currently taking them for ten days

puss filled bumps on the abdominal area and one large one that had to be cut out and sent to the lab for analysis

I had a severe sinus infection , I went to the emergency room and the doctor prescribed Augmentin XR(generic) I have been taking it for three days and the only side effect I have is diaherra, but its better than being in pain and not being able to breathe!

Just went to the doctor today and he said I had Bronchitis and placed me on Amox/K Clav 875MG - 1 every 12 hours. About 10 minutes after I took this medicine (eat supper), my stomach started aching (the upper part). Not enough to put me down, but enough to drive me crazy. It has been about 3 hours and it is not as bad, but still irritating. Would or could this be a side effect? if so, can I cut in half and take half in the morning and half at night?
