PSA down. Using in conjunction with Flomax. Sex drive is down to about zero which is a terrible side effect. Don't know what to do about that. Having vivid, detailed and bizarre dreams since I began taking the two together. Anyone else having this dream thing happening?

i have just begun treatment.

I have been on Avodart for about 8 months and it has helped a symptom that I had. After about 4 months I developed eye floaters, and now I have acid reflux. I have never had these conditions before, however, I am 68 and there may be no connection to the drug. I wonder if anyone else has had these experiences.

I have been taking this medication for about a year now and still have to get up about every 2 to 3 hours at night to urinate.

Have been on Avodart for a little over four months. Have experienced loss of sex drive and an inability to achieve orgasm. Doesn't seem like the medication is improving my urinary symptoms. At my next doctor's visit, will be discussing with him discontinuing medication.

loss of sex drive,ED,inflamed penis head. otherwise it worked OK.

I am 77 years old, active and in good physical condition. Avodart reduce PSA from0.7 to 0.3, with a great price. My body hair all disappeared, hair on head was thinning, exacerbated ED (PDE-% drugs were not always effective), total disappearance of semen. Have been off for three months, all conditions are improving.

I have been pleased with this drug. No side effects and better urine flow. PSA is down. I am looking to see further PSA declines soon

Complete loss of sex drive, erectile problems, reduced semen quantity, enlarged brests, growing a lot of hair back on my bald head, reduced PSA from 5 to 2.5 in 24 months, did not help urination frequency at night much. Will as doctor if I can stop use for a while to see what happens to these side effects.

Been taking for 5 months and no change in urination and still get up 2 or 3 times a night what a waste of time and money

Been on Avodart for 5 months, positive results in urination problems and reduction in size of prostate. Am not pleased with the loss of sex drive and difficulty in attaining & sustaining an erection. VERY FRUSTATING to me and somewhat for my wife. While I am 66, until taking Avodart, we had an excellent sexual, love life. Sexual ability is almost non-existant now. Am considering not taking Avodart for a while and see what happens!!!

Taken for 1 week and experienced soreness in testicles.

I just came from trying to give platlets at the Red Cross and was turned down because I take Avodart. I'm wondering now what is so bad about taking this drug that I can't give platlets. It has worked as far as reducing my prostate but still have to wonder what is so bad about it. Will talk to doctor to find out.

I ame 62 yrs old and retired, I had problems with urinating, needing to go right away and seepage. though the frequest urination and seepage has stopped (take with detrol) I found that my erections were difficult to attain and not as hard and the duration was very short, seman quantity was low also. (very fustrating for both of us) I took the meds for 18 months and stopped both meds now for 6 days and found erections were stronger and of longer duration I am amazed at the quick recovery. and I haven,t had any urinating problems. I suppose I will continue the meds if the condition returns. Its good to know that recovery of sexual drive and erection are possible..... Read More Read Less

Taking for slightly over one month. Some improvement in urination. Some loss of sex drive as well. I had major stomach pains and bad headaches for about a week when I first started. I'll stay on avodart a while longer.

Started working for the first few weeks but now it doesn't seem to be working at all.

with 6 months of treatment this has cut psa by over half. I'm taking this in conjunction with flomax and the reduction in sex drive and erectile problems are tough to deal with. But overall the problems with urination have disappeared. A tough trade off.

Have taken for 24 months with noticeable reduction in size of prostate and improvement in urination. No apparent side effects.

loss of sex drive. erectile problems i did not experience before taking this drug.

avodart has helped alot after using for two months. had discontinued flomax because of blurry vision and enlarged breasts.
