Humira is the best thing that ever happened to my RA. When I first got diagnosed two years ago, I could barely walk and was in debilitating, constant pain. I was 33 and felt like this disease was stealing my life. Enter Humira and poof--I'm in remission, very active, and can do anything, and no pain! My inflammation is completely gone! It does sting badly upon injection, for which my rheumetologis...

I have been taking Humira for about one year now after being diagnosed with Crohns and having surgery for Diverticulitis. I believe it has helped. Although I still have many of the Crohns symptoms, I do believe it has helped reduce the bowel inflamation.

Started with Methotrexate but due to lung damage from RA I had to switch. Humira has worked well for the last 2 years. I am taking it once per week so I have a higher risk of pneumonia, .... I have to be vigilant about avoiding situations where I could pick up a cold or virus. Pen works great for me.

Worked well for first two months on the injection, been on injection for 5mths. Recently started breaking out on hands, elbows, knees and scalp. My back, stomach and thighs are still clear. Hopefully this is just a flare up, tried seeing if this was normal but only infections or other meds will cause this, so I read. I have had neither, overall satisfied I am better than before, less miserable.

Was switched to this after Orencia quit working. Appears to be working, have not had any flares. The injection hurts like hell but other than that no other side effects. I DO agree with another reviewer that the pen is worse (more painful) than the syringe!

I have been taking Humira fortnightly with a pen injection for about 3 years and the psoriasis has cleared with a marked improvement in joint inflammation. My fingers which we're becoming quite deformed have actually improved. No side effects yet other than increasingly I seem to be susceptible to viruses. My rheumatologist encourages me to ensure I rigorously get mammograms, colonoscopy, Pap smears etc because of increased cancer risk. I'm off all other medications and can bushwalk, look after my grandchildren and happily do all those normal things that were too hard, if not impossible, before. Nothing else (methotrexate etc) has worked. I am nearly 65 now and I know there are risks but the difference to my quality of life is just amazing. If I keep getting viruses though I will have to re- assess. Read More Read Less

The new ads mention possible side effect of lymphoma. My husband died from lymphoma after using Humira and Embrel for 6 years. Be on the lookout for night sweats, weight loss and extreme tiredness!! Better yet, don't take these drugs.

I have been diagnosed with lymphoma and now I see that it is listed in the Humira ads as a side effect. I have lost 75 pounds, and will probably not survive, as I am stage 4. DON'T TAKE THIS MEDICINE, IT IS NOT WORTH IT

Three hours after first injection dose I was in the ER for sever chest pain. First ER was lost, second visit two days later found fluid around my heart. If you dig deep enough you find that this can be a severe reaction to Humira. Beware! This medicine is dangerous!!

I have been taking Humira now for little over a year. Still get minor flare ups after a hard days work in the yard. Have been getting some side effects i.e. dizziness, balance was off, did gain weight, but also lost almost 30 pounds. Tryed not taking the shot, but after a 2-3 months I started getting severe and mulitple flare ups (bad ones) where I could not even walk at times. So I will live with the side effects.

Horrible side effects. Avoid at all cost. The commercial is terrible -- the actress is so distracting you cannot believe anything presented in the ad. Get a new agency. Epic fail for efficacy for my Crohn's.

I was diagnosed with RA in 2011. I began taking only methotrexate for the first six months and received some relief, but stiffness in joints and pain continued to be problematic so the RA doctor prescribed Humira. I've had moderate relief of stiffness, however, I believe it affects your Ph level, I have been plagued with vaginal burning, yeast infections and extreme bladder urgency. The bladder discomfort has subsided, but I still vaginal problems. All test have come back negative. Humira also makes me very tired. I switched to taking the injection on Thursdays or Fridays so I can at least rest on the weekend. Not sure what to do at this point other than to work with my Homeopathic doc to see if balancing my Ph level may help. I lead a very active life and need something to manage the pain and stiffness. Anyone experiencing my symptoms? Thanks. Read More Read Less

I was Humira for 1 yr before I made the decision to stop the treatment after having overlapping viral infections. I have just undergone treatment for sub acute thyroiditis and multinodular goiter and this week two breast tumors show up on a mammogram.Undergoing biopcy next week. Was all this caused by injecting this lethal drug?, who the hell knows!!! This drug needs to be pulled from the market!!!!!
