I really like this medication. I am on my second month and have had no problems, especially because I never forget to take it. It has cleared up my skin significantly and I have definitely not had a decrease in sexual desire. If anything, it's a comfort not having that worry in the back of my mind that I might get pregnant unplanned. I am very satisfied with this birth control. I also highly...

This is the first birth control pill I have taken. I have been taking it for about a month now and besides having headaches I haven't really had any major issues. Now, my appetite has decreased which is fine with me and my acne has pretty much stayed the same. I can actually say that I feel balanced taking these pills and don't feel at all irritable or anxious. I haven't experienced any bloating. I have had spotting which is also better than having a regular period. I'm satisfied and feel I will continue to take it as long as nothing dramatically changes. Read More Read Less

I used to take this pill about 5 years ago. It worked great with me then. I got off of it to get pregnant and after i had my daughter I stayed off of birth control for a while. Then about 3 months ago I got back on it and now I always feel bloated my breasts are painful and they feel very full and I am always so hungry even after 10 minutes of eating a good sized meal. I will be getting off of this pill as soon as possible.

I am so leary about taking birth control but I decided to try it for my acne. I got really depressed on this and my heart raced a lot. It increased my anxiety and my acne got worse. Every BC is different but this didn't work for me.

I started taking this after taking out my Nexplanon. Ive noticed that my cramps have come back and I get very bad mood swings a week before my period. i have also gained weight. I have also noticed vaginal dryness and my sex drive has gone down. I never thought it was because of my birth control but after reading the reviews I am stopping immediately.

I like this BC. Its easy to use and effective only thing is that it sometimes makes me feel slight bloated and moody . But those are normal side affects. I get mostly moody and bloated a week before i take the sugar pills (to get my period). The pill gave me no break outs my weight has actually maintained itself . I can count on this BC to do its job. Been on it a year now and im happy with it . -keno 8/5/15

Horrible Horrible Anxiety. I am stopping this today. It has been one week and I cannot stand how awful I feel any longer. Other side effects I experience are back pain, chills, fatigue, and upset stomach. The dry heaving today is new, but I am done. This is not the correct pill for me. I was diagnosed with PMDD and was also prescribed Fluoxetine. I thought ther Fluoxetine was causing this horrible feeling, so my dosage was adjusted. But, I feel worse.

I had very painful periods, so my doctor put me on this birth control, but it really hasn't done too much to help. I'm still on prescription pain medication for the pain. My doctor told me it would start getting better in about 4-5 months. It hasn't.

I started taking this pill a little over 8 months ago. When I started I weighed 106 ate more than most teenage males, and hardly worked out. I now weigh 145 (thats nearly 40% weight gain) and I eat very healthily and workout for an hour 4-6 times a week yet I cant get the weight to start going back down. I'm 23 and have NEVER had issues with my weight (other than perhaps being underweight at a few points). In addition to the weight gain I've experienced a decrease in appetite, mood swings, acne (which I've never had), severe drop in libido, and lack of discharge. This pill absolutely works, I'm not contesting that, but it also can have a lot of side effects, I quit it two weeks ago and I've already seen an increase in my mood and have lost 3 pounds! I've been using this pill for over two years. As much as getting a period sucks, I like that I know exactly when it will start. It is also lighter than it was before taking the pill and lasts about 3 days. I remember I was unsure about this brand because of all the comments online about weight gain and mood swings but the only side effect I get is some nausea the morning after starting a new pack.

This is my second month of being on Mononessa. The first couple weeks I experience severe nausea and stomach cramps. I only experienced very light spotting on one occasion. I absolutely love Mononessa, but only have one complaint. It makes me SO moody. I find myself yelling at my boyfriend all the time and causing unnecessary fights. Until this most recent time I realized it's the pill. Other than that it has delivered in all areas it has promised and has eased my menstrual cramps and regulated my flow beautifully. I was switched from Sprintec to Mononessa due to pharmacy restrictions. After just 1 1/2 months on MonoNessa, I experienced mood swings, weight gain, depression and pain in the vaginal area. By far the worst side effect I experienced was 10 days of non-stop bleeding, and about one a half weeks before my actual period was scheduled to begin. I usually have a period that is about three days, so this was quite a shock. I visited my doctor and she even said I was experiencing mild anemia and that I might need to take some iron supplements until my period balanced back out. I was terrified of the side effects I experienced with MonoNessa.Read More Read Less

I started taking Mononessa about month ago for very heavy bleeding and clotting due to fibroid tumors. So far it has worked great. My only problem is remembering to take it and I don't really care to rely on any drug to "regulate" my body, that said it has done what I needed it to without a lot of side effects. Very hungry, but not even sure that's the pill?

I used Mononessa for 4 months but have since then switched to a better birth control pill for me personally. While the packaging of Mononessa is adorable and the pills are easy to swallow, it came with some unpleasant side effects. I was so nauseous and bloated during the entire first week. After the first week, things were fine and I didn't notice much, but after about two months, I started getting very emotional and had horrible mood swings. I also experienced some vaginal dryness and sore breasts. My acne didn't clear up much either. While it certainly did the job in regulating my menstrual cycle and preventing contraception, the other side effects weren't too great. I'm much happier on Aubra now. Maybe the ethinyl estradiol levels were just too high on this one.Read More Read Less

I have been taking this medication for 2 years and it has done everything I could have hoped for. My periods are no more than a minor nuisance and I went from being pizza face for 8 years of my life to almost a flawless complexion. The only issue I ever had was some serious nausea the first few months of taking it.

I'm taking this pill before a minor surgery to remove the septum in my uterus, and about a week after I started taking it I gained two pounds. I also feel extremely moody, irritable and unmotivated. I do tend to gain two pounds on any birth control, so this is no different from the rest, but I don't remembe feeling this awfule (mentally) all the time on others.

Yes this medication does what it's supposed to do. My periods are incredibly regular and usually fairly light. I've been taking it for over a year and I've been very emotional/ depressed all the time for some known reasons and some unknown. I have gained about 20 pounds since starting this pill and I've done everything I can to lose it and nothing works. Every time I step on the scale I've gained 3 pounds. I'm 17 and honestly I'm going to get my medication changed.

I have been using this birth control for about 4 months now and I noticed right away the difference in my periods. Usually, my cramps are very painful and my flow is extremely heavy, but since taking it, the pain has lessened greatly and my flow isn't nearly as heavy anymore. As for my acne, It has pretty much stayed the same. I notice that for the first couple of months I was extremely nauseous and that really hasn't changed much as I've contiuned with the pill. As far as mood. I think it's been a little better except when I'm stressed about too many things. Read More Read Less

Effective and easy because it's a simple pill. I have been using birth control for nine years now. This cycle will be my last. I have been on various pills but recently was switched from TriNessa to MonoNessa due to the error of my pharmacy. I have been on this one for six months. The side effects I list are for this pill only, and are in comparison to the other types I've taken: Decreased libido, increased irritability, decreased breast/genital sensitivity, spotting, elevated blood pressure. I am healthy, within a healthy weight range, do not smoke, and have not had children.Read More Read Less
