This caused another serious side effect and my son ended up with severe redness/infection behind his ear externally...Not sure why it did this, but obviously is possible...

20% of people are allergic to this but PCPs like mine don't always know this and prescribe it regularly for ear infections. Being allergic to it myself, I saw a specialist, an ENT, after I experienced a serious and immediate increase in pain. After I stopped the medication and started taking what the ENT prescribed (Cipro; an alternative w/ a lower rate of allergic reactions) I was in FAR better shape 24 hrs later.
