I play golf and find this medication affects my body in the sun and heat. Very week feeling like a piece of spaghetti and am unable to continue playing. As for the fatigue, hasn't helped much. Am still as tired as before the medication.

I have been on this for about 6 months, 100 mg twice a day. I take one in the morning and the second around noon. It works so so, better than the provigil I was on before it, but there are some days I wish I could add a third pill to my day.

I have been taking Amantadine for approx 10 yrs. The effect has decreased some, but have found that while I take this first thing in the AM, I also take Provigil around 12:00 and Amantadine again at 4:00. That way there is no lapse in energy. Each drug without the other, did not do the trick. Years ago, Amantadine was presribed as an anti-viral, and I did found that as an added bonus, I have not been sick at all in the last 10 yrs. I suppose it has a dual purpose and would not go off it!!

making slow progress. I have MS and this med is helping to at least keeping me from shaking a little more than usual and is helping with my gait being steady and not meandering all over tha place, it is however not helping with my drop foot or the weakness, fatigue or MS symptoms, nor is it helping the nausea of cognitive problems I have daily...I have RRMS.

I have just been prescribed this drug and in reading the precautions I see that the use of caffiene may be a problem. I drink about 10 cups of coffee per day, should I start taking the drug?

Close to miraculous! the PD was really getting bad...both the off time and the dyskinesia. it helped both but mainly the dyskinesia. i have been taking levodopa for 10 years. i only worry now that the amantadine will stop working. if so, i'm screwed.

This medication was prescribed for fatigue. I found especially over time that it was not satisfactory in its performance. I did not seem to suffer from any side effects while taking this medication. My dose was one 100mg tablet twice a day, morning and at noon.

I've been taking it for one month. Seems to be helping with the fatigue & I seem to have a little more energy. Especially after being on Avonex (9 yrs), which really zaps me & makes me achy the day after the injection.

I have been taking this for 6+ years and could not imagine functioning without it. I am able to stay focused and complete the daily tasks. My MS is in control and I am doing quite well. I am now on keppra for some "epilipic episodes" which I don't like.
