I hjave taken 2 pills a day for 10 years with a lot of sucess, Only recently have I noticed a decrease in the effectiveness. I am looking for another treatment for MS fatigue which is very dibilitating for a young mother.

Horrible, this was given to my 12 year old son, who tested negative for Type A and H1N1. He has been having extreme nightmares, thoughts of dying, almost demonic behavior. When I finally get him awake, he remembers nothing. I would never recommend this medication to children.

I noticed that my pulse rate has gone from 80-90 up to 115-120, while taking this drug. Is this normal for my pulse rate to go up this high?

I started this medication to combat the fatigue from MS. It has really helped. I still get tired but it's not the "drawn out just want to cry" kind of tired I had. I just hope the effectiveness doesn't wear off with prolonged usage.

I started this medication when it was thought I had MS and continued after I was diagnosed with RSD (CRPS). It helped my thought process when I was in terrible pain.

My son takes this drug (2months) for Brain injury. It has helped him be more alert, focused and awake. Went to PM dose only,By AM the affects were very apparent. AM dose caused sleepiness. So far it has helped him more than other cognitive stimulating drugs like Aricept and provigil. He is non verbal so not sure of some side effects but does not seem to have nausea. He finally has enough stamina to stay awake all day and interact with family with focus.

I find this medication to be more helpful than the Provigil I used to take. I take it about 10 AM and then again about 2:00. Some days the fatigue still controls my life and keeps me inactive, but I am functioning better on Amantadine than on Provigil or no drug at all.

This medication has given me the ability to function and take care of my 2 young children. But like any autoimmune disease, I have to pace myself and my energy. This medicine helps me get out of the bed so I can function.

I like Amantadine better than Provigil or the non-perscription tratment Acetyl-L-Carnitine. I do wish there was something stonger with no major side effects.
