I hjave taken 2 pills a day for 10 years with a lot of sucess, Only recently have I noticed a decrease in the effectiveness. I am looking for another treatment for MS fatigue which is very dibilitating for a young mother.

This was used as part of expermental Hep C treatment. Lowered ALT/AST's but didn't completely kill the viral load. Not an approved treatment as it didn't work. Made me nervous, angry, sullen.

This is the second time I have been on this medication. In between my dr prescribed Provigil for my MS fatigue. Neither has seemed to help for very long. This actually helps less than the Provigil did.

I use this med for MS fatigue. I lost 25 lbs., my feet are constantly swollen, a rash appeared on my ankles and is now permanent, and I have developed a hand tremor. Dr. doesn't think anything about it. It does reduce fatigue..

I took this about five years ago when I had the flu. It worked ok, helped shorten my sickness but I got this funny feeling in my head. The only way to describe it was like my brain was trying to crawl out of my skull.

This medicine has helped me tremendously with fatigue. I have found if take by 9:00 am and again around 3:00pm, i have no problems with winding down for the evening.

I was prescribed Amantadine in 2001 for a case of the flu. I had horrible psychological side effects (suicidal). The pharmacist later told me that it is not recommended for younger adults.

My 15 month old daughter started taking this for the flu. She stopped sleeping at night and would pitch horrible fits, bordering on convulsions. I absolutely would not recommend this drug, especially for children.

My son is taking this medication for ocd/anxiety. He has been taking it for 2 years and it has worked very well, but he started getting sick all the time, colds, sore throats, and lots of headaches. I'm very nervous that there is no long term study on people taking this medication for this type of problem. Can someone respond?

While Amantadine has helped with my fatigue associated with MS, it has given me sleep problems which I did not have before using it.
