Before this medication I was absolutley a mess. I was crying almost everyday, on my days off from work I would lay on the couch and would not get up all day. I had stopped going out with friends, gained over 30 lbs, and overall just didn't care about anything. I decided it was time to take action and as much as I thought, oh this is a phase and I will snap out of it, I realized I couldn't do it on...

My 19 year old daughter starting taking this medication Dec. 18 to treat for clinical depression. On Jan 16, she overdosed on the wellbutrin. Her behavior and mood since she started taking wellbutrin has gone downhill. She survived the overdose but had many seizures. She is now in a psych ward under a 14 day hold.

This was a winner for me. I've taken several other antidepressants with varying sucess. Wellbutrin works well, but has none of the unpleasant side effects, like emotional numbing or decreased libido. I've also managed to quit smoking as the nicotine simply doesn't affect me anymore.

Did not seem to address my ADD symptoms. Actually brought on a sense of anxiety, impending doom. Also caused sweats, tension, jitteriness.

I took it for anxiety and to quit smoking. After smoking for 18 years...I quit. Yes, it did cause some nausea at first...however you must eat when taking this medication. Take with meals. Also, don't give up. It also has a side effect which decreases hunger. I lost weight after quitting smoking...about 10 lbs. I was scared after quitting smoking I would gain. I didn't I lost. This medication is a wonder drug. It is rough in the begining as your body adjust. It's not fun but give it time the side effects will go away and it is effective overall. I really support the use of this drug. I am an RN and also think if this drug does not help with smoking cessation try Chantix. I am an Open Heart Nurse and we have had great success with our patients on Chantix.Read More Read Less

Wellbutrin had no effect on my depression. I did not experience any side effects though.

This drug worked as much as any drug can for me and my condition. I use it with Zoloft, Welloft and it has made life easier.

I used this for depression and smoking cessation. I took the XL, 150mg for the first week and felt fine and then the dose was increased to 300mg a day. It helped me quit smoking and I've been smoke free for 6 months! However it sucked for my depression. When i was on 150mg i felt fine but once it increased to 300mg i felt tired and sluggish all the time. I tried it for 3 months and finally i had to be taken off it cause it was too strong. It is good if you want to quit smoking.

Wellbutrin works better than any other anti-depressent that I've tried, however the side effects are scary. I also take xanax. I stopped taking the xanax for about two weeks and had a seizure. This was the first time I had ever had one. I was taking 300mg once a day in the morning. I then stopped taking the wellbutrin, but struggled with the depression again. I am now on 150mg once a day. I feel better mentally, but sometimes I feel a little dizzy the morning if i drink the night before. it also makes me sweat like a pig. The results are soo good that i can live with the stuff that comes along.Read More Read Less

works well for depression. couldn't even get out of bed without it. SSRI's make me tired, wellbutrin wakes me up. also works well to control physical withdrawals from smoking cessation. been cig free for 2 weeks.

This drug make me very, very, very MEAN!! I have horrible thoughts that I have never had before. I have become very pessimistic. I hate everyone. I now use bad language. I feel very hostile and have alot of rage. This medication is not working for me at all.
