I hope no one takes these reviews seriously. Everyone is going to respond differently to this pill. Just because someone has awful side effects does not mean you will. Take me for instance...the only side effects I have had is 1 day of nausea, some mild moodiness, and slight breast tenderness. I am through my first pack of pills...and you have to understand that the side effects you are having wil...

I have been in Ortho Tricylin Lo for a couple of years with no problems at all. I was just recently given Trinessa lo because the pharmacy said there was no reason i couldnt get the generic. I've been on it for 10 days and i'm nothing but a bloated, tired, grumpy mess. I eat clean and do 30-60 minute intense workouts daily and i couldn't figure out why i looked so bloated and the scale was a few p...

I've been taking this birth control for about 3 years and I am very satisfied. I suffer from mild acne and the trinessa actually helped with my acne. I still get break outs before my periods, but it is usually 1 or 2 pimples. I usually start my period the Tuesday into the placebo pills and end Sunday. The downside is that my period may start up again and officially end on that next Tuesday. Besides that, this birth control has given me no trouble

I love these pills, they don't cause any side effects on me and also helped me out with my acne and my heavy periods, not i only get about 2 pimples before my period and thats once in a while, and instead of having a heavy period for 10 days i only get my period for 3-4 days and it isn't as heavy as it used to be, note im taking this as birth control and i am very happy it helped me out with a few other details :)

I was taking Gildess, no problems at all. Helped with my painful backache and cramping. Had to switch to Trinessa due to my company switching insurance. I took the first pill at 10pm last night. Started vomiting around 2:30am and again at 7:30am, had to call into work. I am about 5'7" 115 pounds, so that may have something to do with it. I will not be taking anymore of this! I am so nauseated still.

I switched to this from Loestrin 24 FE, which I loved, but TriNessa is free on my insurance. I read these reviews before switching and was honestly scared to do so, but I haven't experienced any of these side effects. I do get nauseous from time to time, and experience 1-3 days of cramps during my cycle, but otherwise I have no complaints. My skin is in fact even more clear than when I was on Loestrin 24 FE. I used to get a breakout or two the week before my period, and now I have none! TriNessa has worked fine for me. Read More Read Less

I've been taking this birth control for about 6 years now and have had no major problems. I usually get my period either tuesday or wednesday into my placebo pills. It usually lasts till about sunday/monday which is a downside. Also, about a week before my period, I usually break out a little on my face (1-3 pimples) and my breasts get a little tender. Over the span which I have been taking it I haven't experienced any extreme weight gain (5lbs at most). Other than that its a great starter birth control. I've recently switched to a stronger pill because my periods after 6 years are still pretty heavy and last really long. Other than that I highly recommend it.Read More Read Less

I used monessa for a year but asked my doctor to switch due to me getting my period about a week before the placebo pills and then continued with my period during the placebo week. I was switched to trinessa and the switch was awful. I was vomiting 2 days in. I continued to have a horrible headaches and nausea which has not improved after 2 months on it. I also got some cystic acne. I lost almost all my energy. As someone who enjoys working out, I can't stand feeling like I have no more energy in the gym and I get short of breath a lot easier than before. My first placebo week on trinessa brought on horrible cramps and depression. I'd feel like crying for no good reason. I've had enough and I am getting off birth control pills all together... But they did do the job as I never got pregnant. Everyone is different but that was my experience. Read More Read Less

This is satan's medicine. I took this for almost two months and my skin looks like I got tore up. I was prescribed this by my doctor to CLEAR UP my skin, but it's the worst of my life...OF MY LIFE. Like are you serious? Painful jawline acne and cheekbone acne, I don't even want to go to the clubs anymore. I am getting off this Tricrap. Try a new BC girl, this stuff is trippin.

I had been on Ortho Tricylen Lo for 10 years and never had any problem with it. It was extremely effective, no weight gain, no acne. My insurance dropped Ortho and I was switched to the generic, TriNessa. TriNessa has been just as wonderful. Later I attempted to switch to Mononessa in order to skip my monthly cycle(you can't on TriNessa). The switch to Mononessa made me sick for 2-3 days and suddenly my face and my back began breaking out with acne cysts. It was HORRIBLE! I have clear skin and rarely even get a bump and these were CYCSTS that lasted for weeks! I was an emotional mess. Needless to say, I switched back to TriNessa. My skin cleared right back up and I was back to myself. I definitely recommend TriNessa, it's worked great for me and I'll stick with it!Read More Read Less

I just had a baby about a year ago and now I'm on the trinessa birth control. I never noticed any side effects until now. I started to get unusual bruises, chest pains and worsening of migraines. I said to myself, I hope I'm not dying or anything because I don't feel sick...but then I researched the side effects of this pill and these were the common side effects. I even went to the doctors over four times just to see if there was something wrong with me, but as always...nothing. I highly recommend other women not to try this birth control. I've been through nothing but hell with the side effects and it really effected me a lot. Please take my advice...you'll slowly feel the side effects, swelling of throat, bruises, chest pains, migraines. Who would want to suffer all that if you're a pretty healthy person? After a year of hell, I'm finally going to the doctors again to change my birth control since I finally found out what it really was that was making my life difficult. Read More Read Less

I was given this to regulate my menstrual cycle, which it never did. I continued to bleed the whole time I took it. (I took it for one month). The first few days I was very nauseous. Then I started taking it at night with supper and that seemed to help. The 2nd week I began crying during the day for no reason at all. I also felt angry. I developed migraines from it. (Which I had never had before.) When I finished the pack I called my Dr. and told her I didn't want to take it anymore. I hate the way this pill made me feel. I felt like I was losing my mind. I also had many nights where I was really hot and even with 2 fans could not get cool. I have been off over a week now and feel back to my normal self. Read More Read Less

I am on day four of this bc. This is my third month of being on bc. The first month was Lo Loestrin Fe and it was amazing, had zero side effects and no period. Then to save money the second month I got the generic called Microgestin 1/20 Fe and it made me spot, but no other side effects. I am now on day four of Trinessa and my stomach hurts every day after I take it. I take it with food. I feel like I'm going to puke every night. Any body else have this problem?

I've been taking TriNessa for four straight years now. The only changes it has caused are lighter and regular (to the hour practically!) periods. There was weight gain at first, but it melted off rather quickly. Also a very effective birth control.

I took trinessa due to having a irregular period for the past 4 years. During the very first month, my period was regulated. I was so excited and happy. I since then have decided to switch due to the weight gain I experienced. I am an avid runner trained for a marathon and I was very embarrassed and sad to have gained about 10 pounds. I can tell you this is NOT because of my diet or lack of physical activity. I will finish up my last pack (3rd month) and switch to Velivet within the next week. I look forward to seeing if my weight will be managed and my periods with maintain regular. Read More Read Less

This pill has made me extremely depressed. I cry multiple times a day and have suicidal thoughts. Nothing makes me happy anymore. I also have horrific anxiety and panic attacks. I've become needy, very lonely, and all around miserable. I hate this pill so much.

I've been on TriNessa on and off since I was 20 yrs old (I am now 30) and this was the best birth control I had ever taken (tried others in between). Little to no side effects and maintained weight. However, since turning 30 almost 12 months ago, my body seems to have been going through some changes and I am now experiencing break outs, overeating and cramping. I am now switching to Estrostep Fe. Here's to hoping this new bc can help me just as much as TriNessa did the last 10 yrs.
