I have been on this medication for a little over two months for bipolar depression. It has really worked with controlling the mood swings and my depression. But I am not happy with the weight gain... I have never had a problem wit my weight till I started this med. But sense starting it I have gained about 25 lbs in two months.

I have rapid cycle bipolar disorder. I have been taking the 6/50mg and it seems to help a little but not to the extent I need it to. I am going to up the dose and see what happens. I take 6mg/25mg 3 hrs before bedtime and it helps me sleep at night. At first it helped keep my mood swings under control 3 months or more now its not working so much... but am still sleeping well at night. Insurance wouldn't cover it so it cost about 400$ a month!! I also have went from 112 pounds to now 5-6 months later 150 pounds!

I am a 27 year old who has attempted suicide twice in my life, once at 15 years old and again at 23. I've been diagnosed with both Bipolar depression (manic depression) and Major depressive disorders. As you can imagine, I have had my fair share of roller coaster ups and downs of life and have been through countless medications. However, I am AMAZED at how well I feel/am/perform with this med ...
