I received this medicine as a treatment for an infection in my shoulder. Unfortunately, the nurse on duty didn't research the "Cillin" in it and I reacted with red spots on my face and my fingers were turning purple. NOT a good thing. I'm one of 4 generations allergic to the 'cillin line.

Antibiotics are known to cause diarrhea, but what this medicine causes is not merely diarrhea (***note: I took its pills and not intravenously!!!***). It's literal leakage for 24/7, or perhaps a new word needs to be invented for it. In my 31 years of life, I've never experienced a diarrhea as worse as the one caused by Sultamicillin for a whole week, to the point where I seriously began to doubt whether I'll ever recover from it, and I lost total control of my stools, and was on a diet of only rusk for close to a week. Reading about it online after experiencing this particular side-effects, it dawned upon me that quite a few people over here in Germany have complained about this medicine causing a prolonged and totally draining diarrhea. Avoid it at all costs, fellows, avoid it!!!Read More Read Less
