i found that if i take it about 30-45 minutes after eatting with the 8 oz. of cold water, that i'm relatively fine, however, taking it on an empty stomach in the morning made me terribly nauseated and nothing helped stop it for about an hour or two. it's really helping clear up my skin when tons of otc stuff didn't.

Severe pain in stomach. Tightness in chest. Tingling in hands and face. I'm 17 years old and thought I was going to die in my bed. Went to emergency and was told to immediately discontinue. These symptoms lasted for another three weeks. I was terrified it would never end. DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT

I was given a 2 week course of this for an infected boil I had to have lanced and drained. I'm on day 2, second dose, and I'm absolutely miserable. It's clearing the infection. I can already see improvement. But the side effects are killing me. Severe bloating, belching, nausea, dizziness. I was okay until the 2nd dose tonight. Then had to take an anti-nausea pill they gave me along with it, because I felt like I was going to throw up. And I got cold. Like ice water running along the surface of my skin. Only now, 2 hours after taking the anti-nausea pill, am i starting to feel better. Took it with a full glass of water, ate with it, too, because it made me feel better yesterday. Tonight it just walloped me. Calling the doc tomorrow for another med, because I don't think I tolerate another week and a half of this. Read More Read Less

So far have been on 100mg 2x day and it was ok up until a few days ago I started getting nauseous and loss of appetite. Im on day 14. No stomach pain or diarrhea or rash. Only nausea. Its way better than how the Lyme disease made me feel though. Hoping it clears up the Lyme, second time taking this drug. Second time having Lyme.

I am taking this medicine for long time now 20 MG twice a Day. everytime i stop this medicine acne comes back. As of now no side effects. I asked many Dr they said you can continue taking for long, no issues but i am not sure if i will have any issues in longer run. Can anyone recommend how to get rid of this tablet and still have clear skin?

Was given Doxy fot Lyme disease which was determined by symptoms because blood test was negative. I was able to tolerate it for the first two weeks but then blood in spool and very bad reaction to sunlight. I got blistered skin and rash on my arms , face and ears. Had to stop taking it I couldnâ??t leave the house.

things were great ! My ;acne; cleared up in 2 weeks, and stayed clear for almost 3 months. But then i had a totally different medical episode, and this new episode resulted in my stopping the usage of a steroid i had been previously taking. Within a week of stopping the steroid, i awoke one morning with a full body rash; a non itch rash from armpits to groin; a 'rash on trunk of body', which is noted as a possible side effect by doxycycline manufacturer. I have since needed to stop the use of the doxy; and 10 days later, my acne rash has returned...the drug worked well; but i obviously was able to postpone side effects until i just coudn't.Read More Read Less

My symptoms have eased slightly but not gone away and I am on Day nine. Upset stomach kicked in really badly yesterday. Was trying not to take it with food but need to now. Headed to doctor tomorrow for another medication. Still short if breath, cough, running nose, mucous once antibiotic wears off.

I took at instructed-without food and was fine the first night. The second dose I took the following morning caused overwhelming dizziness, sweating, nausea, and feeling like I was going to pass out. I should say I do have a lot of reactions to antibiotics-not sure why.

Half way thru the 10 pill regimen, due to a tick bite where removal meant some excavation to make sure we got all of it. Yesterday I started experiencing pronounced double vision. Have stopped and will see my Dr today re: alternatives.

I went on this and my doctor did not inform me that I needed to eat this with food so I spent days nauseated. The medicine also upset my stomach with certain foods. In the end I had to take an extra week of the medication because it didnâ??t work the first time.

I got Bronchitis from my Dr.s office, I had not been sick for about 18 years-no colds, or flus, etc.. so this experience has not been fun..I didnâ??t go to the Dr right away, Input it off for about 6 weeks, until I couldnâ??t stand the coughing anymore..by then I ended up st an Urgent Care, they gave me pills and breathing treatment-which was immediate relief, I took the meds they prescribed, ended up with a lingering cough, 4 and 1/2 months later-I go to After Hours, they take an X-ray-nothing there, he prescribed steroid and this drug, Instart taking it, within 3 days the steroid side effect happened, I felt very warm, my cheeks and nose were red and warm, he said stop taking the steroid..so, I stopped both..I didnâ??t know which drug gave me the reaction..so, here I am 8 months later-with a lingering cough, I had this Rex-7 days worth left, I have 2 more pills to take, then theyâ??re gone-my cough is finally gone after 8 months, I would advise to take this Rex two hours after a meal, taking it on an empty stomach will make you sick and you will vomit (dry heave), I found that starchy foods worked best..Read More Read Less

To be expected I had Mild heartburn if I didnâ??t drink a bottle of water with medication. Unfortunately it did not work in my case for my skin problem only because I was misdiagnosed and the antibiotic was not the treatment I needed. But since this drug does treat a wide variety of other illnesses and I am not too sensitive to the drug I was happy to complete the prescribed dose.

I'm taking this medication because I have been diagnosed with "OCULAR ROSACEA". This is a infection in the eyes. They first thought it was pink eye but I've had pink eye before and knew this was not pink eye. So 2wks out of work there was no healing, no improvement. So when I went back, I asked for a second and third opinion. So my new diagnosis I'm hoping I'll start healing now. After reading about this drug, I won't lie, I'm very concerned with taking it. I'm two doses in so far and no side effects as if yet! (Thank God). I'm praying I will not have any. I have suffered long enough. But I appreciate reading all of your reviews so I know what to look for. I'll update as I'll be on this for 3weeks, and this is only day one for me. PS: The rating for this drug is at one star because, I need to see how well I react to its dosages. Read More Read Less
