I have irritable bowel syndrome. My Dr. recommended the use of this drug. It has been amazing. I have a bowel movement every day. No more cramps or straining. I have noticed diarrhea the past two days, but I have exceeded the recommeded length of time on the drug and have changed my diet drastically to include lots of fiber, fruit, vegetables, etc. I am going to take a break and see what happens.

I took this Dulcolax after surgery and became constipated after taking pain meds. It worked - however I now have nausea, and a sever odor and taste in my mouth Also, my urine and BM's have this same odor. It has been over a week since I've taken the meds and I still have these issues. I'm wondering if anyone else have experienced this. I will not use this product again.

SO, after changing a dosage of another medication (Gabapentin) I have been taking for years, I developed severe constipation. I'm not sure why it occurred so suddenly, my only guess is because the Gabapentin used to come in a capsule, and now at a higher dose it's in pill form. Big pill from. My doctor prescribed me the Docusate Sodium, and it did work well. HOWEVER, even days after I've stopped taking it, I still notice a really unpleasant, hard to describe odor. Not just when using the bathroom, but pretty much constantly. It makes me feel like I might need an enema or something! I'm just trying to stay super hydrated now and hope the odor goes away...Read More Read Less

I usually use colace stool softener. Picked this up because the store was out. I am bloated and have gas pain and gas! I never do this. Also with heartburn and I never get that either. My husband took it and he feels the same way. We ate very light today; easy to digest food.

This is a wonderful product. It has helped me with a motility problem in my upper stomach that was caused by a muscle problem. No doctor could find a cure and prescribed harsh drugs. It helps food move along upper and lower intestines. Saved my life.

I began having a small amount of diarrhea every 15 minutes for six hours with severe cramping. I slept for about four hours and upon awakening, the cramps and diarrhea began again. The next day, no diarrhea, but still severe cramping. I would never take this product again.

I took this medicine 1 tablet as instructed on the "Irish/UK" version as this medicine which states to only take 1 tablet instead of 2 if its your first time. I took it right before bed and within a few hours it did work but,I got extreme cold sweats, faintness, nausea, cramping and very loose watery stool. I still am suffering side effects this morning, to the point I almost didn't go into college. I will not be using this product again!

I had hernia repair surgery and as a result of the oxycodone pain meds became severly constipated. Took Duloclax stool softeners (2) daily at be time for four days. It worked initially and got things moving, but on the fourth day I experienced severe cramping, flatulance and moved my bowels nearly every hour. I susupected that it was the stool softener causing the problem, so discontinued it's use. I used prune juice and apple juices instead and made sure my liquid intake was sufficient as well as fiber. The cramping and excessive bowel movements subsided after about 24 hours of stopping the medication.Read More Read Less

This medicine is about as gentle as a sledge hammer. This is my third day of missed work due to diarrhea and stomach pain, and I only took one pill. I would not advise it unless you are in desperate need. YUCK

After being extremely constipated for about a week, I took 3 initially (as instructed) at 9am. At about 930pm, I had a successful BM that would not have been possible without this product. It was very helpful and I had no side effects (cramps, additional BMs, etc) as it worked as stated.
