I was diagnosed almost 20 years ago with Multiple Sclerosis. Anxiety is a big problem for some of us that have MS. Buspar has been a drug I have used for several years. I do take it at bedtime and although I'm usually fatigued it helps my system to calm down and enables me to rest. Lately I've found my anxiety level is increasing (especially with two granddaughters just starting their teens)! So, on my next visit to the neurologist I will be asking him to provide me with an additional quantity to take during the day if I feel the need. I believe it is an excellent drug, and would encourage anyone that is having a problem with anxiety to use it. Read More Read Less

This medication got me off some of the additive medications I was on for so long. Non-habit forming and easy to use.

I started taking buspar about a year ago for severe anxiety. It completely changed my life! I went from being afraid to leave the house, back to my normal self again! It does make me a little dizzy about an hour after taking it, but well worth it!

I have taken Buspar for 2 months. I was diagnosed with GAD 3 months ago, and hae seen good results. SE include a wierd tingly feeling for about 30 min after I take it, also lighthead, fatiqued severely by the end of the day. It is also a very bad idea to drink on this drug!!! Has turned things around though! Would recommend. Wish their were less Side Effects!

Excellent medication with minimal side effects. I've only been on it for a few weeks and I can tell a huge difference. I would definetely recommend it.

I have only been taking this medication for about 1 1/2 weeks now and i'm starting to feel like its working. I'm on 15 mg up to 3 times a day for severe panic attacks. i get some side effects like dizziness a little while after I take it, and I get frustrated easily, but for me the side effects are so much better than my anxiety. I would recommend it.

I have taken Buspar on and off for a number of years. It was added to my Zoloft about 10 years ago when Zoloft was no longer controlling my anxiety. It worked very well. I'm currently on the max dose 60mg and don't have any known side effects. I worry less and can concentrate better. I now take it with Celexa (60mg). I would recommend this to anyone who has Generalized Anxiety Disorder.

I have had anxiety for years and my doctor finally put me on this medication. I also take Zoloft and that wasn't helping my anxiety. This medicine works great. I would just caution not to drink alcohol. I had one glass of wine and it made me throw up.

I had been on Klonopin up to 4mgs a day, which a bit much. My doc kept trying different antidepressants, which I had too many S.E.'s from. Buspar has actually been the first thing that's helped, without the sometimes drowsiness Klonopin causes. I've been on a decreased dose of Klonopin, which is also a positive. The only S.E. I get w/ Buspar is; for about an hour after I take it I become orthostatic, and can feel my pulse throughout upper my body, head and inside my mouth. It's irritating, but I've had far worse S.E.'s w/ antidepressants.Read More Read Less

Had to come off Celexa due to halucinations. Buspar had been very effective in combination with Trazodone.

Took BuSpar as a 1st trial prescription for anxiety, found increased aggression and unusually violent. Did not feel like myself at all. Stopped taking immediately. On Alprazolam ER 1mg now, much better. Mainly calm throughout the day
