Been on Indocin for 2 1/2 months and completely satisfied. I had headaches for 6 months 24/7. This drug stopped them with the first dose. I have Hemicrania Continua. I take 25mg three times a day with food and Prilosec. No side effects.

After the second day of taking this medication, I was throwing up blood and was rushed to the ER. Apparently You should not take this medication if you have had Ulcers or stomach problems. I ended up having to stay in the hospital for two and 1/2 days and also ended up having to have surgery the next week for gal bladder removal. My original diagnosis was mild back pain and moderate pain from my right but check down to my knee. After taking this medication I ended up bleeding as it caused me to get two ulcers, and then screwing up my gal bladder to the point it had to be removed. This is a VERY dangerous medication. Please use only as a last resort and with EXTREME CARE!! Read More Read Less

I was getting severe headaches along with stomachaches that would cause me to not be able eat. In all fairness I wasn't on the drug long enough to see if it would actually help but the side effects weren't worth the wait!!

This drug relieves the painful onset of Gout, however for me it feels like taking chemo, I get nausia, diahrea, and a real funky feeling inside. That lasts for about 6 hours. BUT the pain is greatly reduced. Tough tradeoff sort of, although the pain is intolerable.

After 7 doses of this drug I had a headache followed by severe nausea then severe vomiting, and finally whole body shakes. Not a fun night. I am no longer taking it but it's a shame since it was working!

I am 40 and have fibromyalgia and ankylosing spondylitis. Indocin really helps when I take it twice a day. However, it makes me feel like I have the flu for the first 2-3 hours. I HAVE to eat with it, or the stomach distress is almost unbarable. Weighing out the side effects compared to my constant pain, I have chosen to continue taking it, even for short term relief.

Indocin is the "daddy" of of all the drugs. I can hardly walk after not taking it for a few days. I take one pill a night (50's) and feel like a million in the morning. No side effects ever.

I am 30 years old and have been getting gout since I was 20. When i used this drug I had gout in my ankle and foot. It did not quell the pain or swelling, it just gave me diarhea for two straight days. The cure was worse than the symptoms.

I was given this drug for treatment of early labor and twin to twin transfusion syndrome. It is my belief and that of the doctors at the Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia that this drug caused the intraventricular hemorrhage and death of my twin son Daniel. I believe that indocin therapy should not be recommended for the treatment of twin twin transfusion and early labor due to my own tragic experience with this drug.

I am 5 months pregnant and was diagnosed in the emergency room with a fibroid tumor in my uterus (I went in because of pain in my lower right abdomen, about a 6 level). Indomethacin was prescribed for a 48 hour period, to be taken every 6 hours. The pain went away immediately upon beginning treatment, and I can no longer feel the tumor protruding. The 48 hour treatment ended about 12 hours ago, and I only hope the pain does not come back!

I have relief of pain in my joints but my appetite has increased greatly. But it could be from Lyrica. My other arthritis meds did not increase my appetite.
