I have pain in the right upper quadurant of the stomach. Its not my gallbladder or an ulcer so my GI dr recommended Symax. Now the LEFT side of my stomach hurts. Its better without this medication. It also gave me dry mouth.

I have IBS and have suffered from it for over 5 years. Before taking this medication I had several douts of diarrhea ever day. The only thing I wish this medication could do is help with the cramps in my stomach.

Very effective for my IBS cramping which has taken me to the ER.The only downfall is it must be taken at the first twinge of any discomfort due to the fact once a spasm attack has started it does not take away the pain.

According to my Dr. I have GERD, which I'm not real sure of, but 99% of the time since starting Symax I don't hurt or dry heave. Never have heartburn, and haven't for years, but was diagnosed last year with GERD. Guess it works, just not all of the time. Before starting it I had pain and dry heaved every morning, usually about an hour after I get up.
