I began taking 500mg 2x day, did not stop angina episodes. Went to 1000mg 2x a day and it stopped episodes of angina but it made me so dizzy and unstable and I had episodes of weakness of limbs (mostly leg on one side) as if having stroke. 2 occasions I went to ER thinking stroke but all test nominal. I will have to stop taking this medicine and hope there is something else I can take.

I have lupus and it seems that ranolazine is triggering my flare-ups. This medication is the newest one I an taking. I am allergic to sulfa drug and if sulfa is in ranolazine that is what is causing the flare-ups. Can you tell if there is sulfa drug in ranolazine.
