I took this drug for 3 months and asked to be switched. Did not have a period the entire time I took it plus another month afterwards. Broke and anxious from taking pregnancy tests every few weeks.

It has even made my periods lighter and no side effects at all. Just the second monthe didnt get a period.

I've been on this bc pill for 2 months and so far it's not what I had hoped. Have tried many bc pills over the past 10 years and I don't feel well on this one at all. I have gained about 5 pounds, had a longer period that was extremely painful, acne got worse, frequent headaches and bad pms..have been so moody! The only thing I haven't minded was that my breasts got larger but that isn't worth the bloating, pimples and mood swings!

It has helped make my periods more normal, but I have HORRIBLE acne and I never had a problem with acne before. I also have had trouble sleeping at night and very increased apetite. I think I gained 10 lbs. in the first 2 weeks I was on it. My doctor said I have to give it time, but I am definitely unsatisfied with the side effects.

Works well. The only bad thing was that it made my acne get worse. It also is very expensive.

I used to have awful (!!!) cramping that even had me missing a lot of school, so my doctor suggested this. It's worked well for me. I barely get any cramps at all now and it's helped to clear up my acne. It is expensive though

i have been on this birth control for 3 months now and have only had one period. it's very pricey, $53, to be exact. Plus, I'm freaking out every month that may be pregnant, so I also buy pregnancy tests. My husband and I already have an 11 month old and a 3 year old and we have decided that we are definitely done having children. So basically, I'm a little nervous every month that I don't have a period. Other than all that, I have no cramps, no heavy bleeding, no acne, no weight gain, but possibly some slight moodiness. I have been on this medicine for a little over a week now and so far i've felt nausea all day everyday, my breasts are tender, i'm having menstral like cramping, i've taken the head off my husband at least once everyday (very bad mood swings, sometimes i've just wanted to hit a wall), i'm having trouble sleeping at night and i've been bleeding for almost 4 days now. its been over two years since i've been on a BC pill. i have a 22 month old. i've taken two pregnancy tests just to make sure i'm not pregnant b/c a lot of these sypmtoms i had when i was first pregnant. both were negative.Read More Read Less

went on it to have a lighter period and less cramps. gave me more cramps spread out through the entire first 3 months. gave me HORRIBLE ACNE (HORRIBLE!!!!) never had a problem with skin in the past either (i am 21)!! MADE me cry everytime i would look in the mirror. I AM NOW ON ACCUTANE, and i hope that the damage of scarring and redness goes away after the acne does. also after i switched to ortho-lo my acne almost instantly reduced. i read reviews before i went on it but my dr told me that everyone has diff reactions, but i deff wouldnt try it if you have even the slightest chance of getting acne. and it didnt even help with the main reason i went on it in the first place!Read More Read Less

this is the second BC i have tried and i like it a lot. yaz made my breasts much bigger and so tender that i couldnt wash them in the shower. i had breakthrough the frist month i took it but it went away and only lasted a few dyas. as long as i take it at the same time every day i have no problems. i suggest taking the pill at night- for me this works better because i am alwyas awake at 10pm but many mornings i sleep in late.just a suggestion.

I have not had a problem yet with this birth control. There was a little spotting in the first two months but it stopped. My periods are shorter and lighter. I struggle with taking it the same time everyday though because my schedule is always changing.

I have had no problems with this medication from day one. I have only had a pleasant experience so far.

took pill to reduce cramps. i guess it was effective, but the breakthrough bleeding is ridiculous. longer than actual "period" times, plus thicker than regular menstrual blood. haven't gotten pregnant so i guess it's working, don't know if it's worth the extra blood. kind of expensive.

I took this to make my periods shorter, well instead of 5-6 days I got 18-20. I suppose it is effective in not getting pregnant, because you can't have sex. Did not help with Acne at all.

This birth control made me bleed non stop for 1 1/2 months. Im not talking lightly either- it would go thru a tampon, overnight pad and my pants! and it made my eyes swell shut after 5 weeks! and major mood swings!

very pricy. hard to take at same time every day. lots of break-through bleeding with pain + period at end of month. was hoping for relief of irritability and other pms problems but no such luck.

This medication is so expensive, it has not controlled my ovarin cysts, and i only have a period every 2-3 months.

I had tons of breakthrough bleeding. The fact that a delay (due to over-sleeping or morning food-poisoning) of a few hours could trigger a 10 day period made me pretty uneasy about depending on it for birth control. I always used a condom so I can't say that this was truly effective, unless by "effective" they mean that sex is off limits when one is always bleeding.

It is expensive as there is no generic version yet and there is a lot of breakthrough bleeding but that stops after using it for a while and being really careful to take it the same time every day. sometimes being off a little bit of time will cause problems. if you are consistent with it, though, it works great and keeps a very short period.

I've never had such bad break-through bleeding as I have with this drug. I took it both for birth control and lighter periods...not to have a constant period for 2 months!
