I have struggled to find a birth control that works for me without making me overly hormonal and Nikki is the first one out of at least 6 different medications that worked for me. I do get break through bleeding if I miss a pill, but it's gone within a day. Overall, I have very positive things to say about this.

I have taken the generic form of Yaz (gianvi) for 7 years. I knew when my period would start and end to the day. I never had bad cramping, acne, or huge mood swings. I was given Nikki this month because my pharmacy switched providers. I'm had my cycle for 2.5 weeks and am still spotting. I'm dizzy some days and have acne all of the sudden. I feel like this BC is effecting every part of me and I wa...

I've been on Nikki for 3 weeks now and right after I started taking it my acne got worse than ever. A lot of little white filled pus bumps around my mouth and my jaw line and cystic bumps on forehead. Ugh!! Before Nikki I would have a few small not painful breakouts, but now I can't even look or touch my face as it is so painful to touch. It's so embarrassing. I stopped taking it and ask my Gyn for a different pill. Don't take it, stay away from Nikki!!!!

Adding my comments to the previous. I've taken Yaz and Gianvi (gen) both for years with no issues. Recently I was given Nikki as the generic and I am late, with extreme cramps. My daughter also made the switch, she's had her period for 2+ weeks also with bad cramps. We'll be going to the Dr. to get something different. Can't recommend Nikki.

I have been taking Niki now for three weeks and I hate it. I have been having crazy moods swings and depression. Yelling at my husband for no reason. Crying for no reason. I now have acne which I did not before. Also sleeping more than usual 10 to 12 hours a night.

I have been on this medication three months now because my insurance will not pay for regular birth control. I have not had my period at all. I have taken pregnancy test they say not pregnant but this is crazy. I am afraid to go to doctor. I would not recommend this birth control ever.......

I am on my third month of this prescription and already I have noticed some differences. I am having lots of mood swings, more cramps, and my cycle is off. I switched from Yaz to this generic brand, and I do not like it. My cycle has never been "off" while on Yaz, I knew when I was going to get my period and when it would end; but now, I'm late and it lasts different amounts of days.

I have taken multiple generic versions of Yaz (Gianvi, Loryna) and have had no issues switching to them or back and forth. I recently was given Nikki and for one, I thought it was weird that it was labeled as a generic for Loryna, when Loryna is already a generic for Yaz. My skin has been horrible, my cycles have been COMPLETELY OFF, as in I haven't been off by 2 days in 5 years and all of the sudden I'm having a "kind-of" period 3 days late. I haven't been sexually active in over a month but this makes me worried since it's obviously not the same as Yaz or the previous generic brands. I hope others don't have these issues but I had to write something because this isn't okay. If I have taken multiple generic BCs and been completely normal and then one generic comes along that screws my entire body up? Not okay. Something is wrong. Read More Read Less
