I will be starting Harvoni Wednesday... Very happy and have hope! :) I beleive Iam going to kick it this time around after trying all the others that failed because it was just to harsh had alot of real bad side affects.

Just finishing my 16th week out of 24 weeks on this medication. After 4 weeks on Harvoni my liver enzymes were normal for the 1st time in 35 years. After 10 weeks there is no detection of the virus in my blood. Negative! Never thought there would be a cure in my Lifetime :) Hopefully my cirrhosis will improve now, that's a biggie! It has not helped my psoriasis at all, since you cannot have cortisone shots on this medication, my psoriasis is awful - but still a small price to pay. Only side effects, headaches that go away quickly, some trouble sleeping - I can live with this. 35 years HCV positive. Genotype 1b. Viral load 2.9 million copies. Treatment naïve. 8 week regimen prescribed. 52 of 56 doses taken to this date. AST/ALT dropped from 55/64 to 15/19 after 1 week. Just finished 8wk treatment. Throughout have suffered headache other than that have done ok. In 3 was will have blood work and know the outcome. So far positive ??

Mine was one of the first Harvoni prescriptions and I took the 60th pill out of 84 today. Prior to treatment viral load averaged 3 plus million copies. Viral load was tested on day 30 and was zero, or undetectable. I had HC1a for more than 40 years and will be completing a 12 week treatment course. Only side effect was mild fatigue but discovered drinking two 16oz glasses of water when taking pill, completely eliminates. I exercise vigorously 5 times each week and routine has not suffered. Began feeling better than I can ever recall about six weeks into treatment. Chose Harvoni because of autoimmune issues that can be increased when taking other than single pill treatments. Insist on Harvoni If you have psoriasis, lichen planus or other autoimmune issues. Harvoni is a pardon from a death sentence; it is well worth the cost! Read More Read Less
