SPEAKER: If you wear contact
lenses, it's important to take
care of them
to help keep your eyes
healthy and infection-free.
Throughout the day, proteins
found naturally in your eyes,
along with bacteria and debris,
can build up on your lenses.
That's why it's
important to clean them
properly.
There are many different systems
you can use to clean
and disinfect your contact
lenses.
Hydrogen peroxide solutions are
one type.
They work well to break up
and remove proteins and debris
trapped on the lens,
as well as kill germs that can
cause infection.
These solutions come with either
a special case or tablets that
neutralize the hydrogen
peroxide, turning it
into a saline solution.
Tiny bubbles forming will tell
you it's working.
After soaking for at least six
hours, your contacts are now
safe to put back in your eyes.
