John Buell, PhD, who is co-author with Etta Kralovec of The End of Homework, received his doctorate from the University of Massachusetts. He has taught at the College of the Atlantic and is former associate editor of The Progressive. His other books include Democracy by Other Means: The Politics of Work, Leisure, and Environment and Sustainable Democracy: Individuality and the Politics of Growth.
