Kara Sirmans, director for community and newsletters, leads the teams responsible for creating more than 50 newsletters and moderating WebMD’s exchanges and expert blogs.
Sirmans came to WebMD from AOL, where she served in several programming and editorial roles, including on the AOL home page. She led programming campaigns as well as coordinated promotion of content channels. Her previous multimedia experiences include working in public radio, magazine, and newspaper.
Sirmans graduated cum laude from Ohio University’s E.W. Scripps School of Journalism.
