Lila Ojeda, RD

Lila Ojeda a native of northern California, was raised in the small foothill community of Grass Valley/Nevada City. She is the second oldest of six sisters and one brother, and was raised a vegetarian, which ultimately sparked her interest in nutrition. Lila graduated from the University of California, Davis, with a BS in dietetics and minors in exercise physiology and Spanish. She completed her dietetic internship at Oregon Health Sciences University (OHSU), where she gained practical hands-on experience.

Currently, Lila is working in Portland, OR, with Dr. William Connor at the lipid research department of OHSU. Her duties include coordinating studies and counseling study participants and patients in the Lipid Disorder Clinic regarding diet modification and exercise. In addition, she works with OHSU's Wellness Program, where she offers nutrition education to employees and gives monthly talks entitled "Lunch with Lila." Topics for talks range from "Soy and Your Health" and "Dietary Supplements: What You Need to Know!" to "Healthy Tips for Eating on the Go" and "Healthy Eating for the Holidays."

Outside of work Lila enjoys mountain biking, hiking, weight training, dancing, gymnastics, gourmet cooking, international traveling, and spending time with her family and friends. In the future, she hopes to pursue her true passion, sports nutrition. Lila is excited to be a part of WebMD and hopes to be a valuable resource to your personal nutrition needs.
