How do I use bleach to disinfect?

ANSWER

You want to be sure to disinfect anything that anyone in your home touches frequently, including tables, doorknobs, light switches, remotes, door and cabinet handles, desks, toilets and sinks. Use gloves when disinfecting with a bleach solution. If they’re reusable, be sure to disinfect them as well after use. Diluted bleach solution is an effective way to disinfect. You can also use an alcohol solution that’s at least 70% alcohol or an EPA-registered household disinfectant. If you’d like to prepare your own bleach solution at home, use 4 teaspoons of bleach per quart of water.
