Norra MacReady has been a medical writer and editor for nearly 20 years and has covered virtually every medical specialty, for audiences ranging from preschoolers to doctors, nurses, and other health care professionals. She holds degrees in biopsychology from Vassar College and in human nutrition and biochemistry from Columbia University.
Norra's work has been published by several leading consumer publications, including Glamour, Self, and Mademoiselle, as well as The Lancet and the British Medical Journal. She has also written eight books for consumers on topics such as obesity, diabetes, cancer, and eating disorders. Currently, in addition to writing for WebMD, Norra writes a newsletter on malpractice issues for anesthesiologists.
