Phill Wilson

Phill Wilson is currently executive director of the African American AIDS Policy and Training Institute at the University of Southern California. He is the former coordinator of the International Community Treatment and Science Workshop at the 12th World AIDS Conference in Geneva, director of policy and planning at AIDS Project Los Angeles, and cochair of the Los Angeles County HIV Health Commission. Since 1995 he has served as an appointee to the HRSA AIDS Advisory Committee. Wilson is founder of the National Black Lesbian and Gay Leadership Forum and cofounder of the National Task Force on AIDS Prevention.

Wilson is the guest editor for the July issues of POZ magazine and has published articles in the Los Angeles Times, the Los Angeles Weekly, Essence, and Ebony. A member of the U.S. delegation to the 1994 World AIDS Summit in Paris, Wilson has worked extensively on HIV/AIDS policy, research, prevention, and treatment issues in Russia, Latvia, the Ukraine, the United Kingdom, Holland, Germany, France, Mexico, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Tanzania, and India.
