Robert P. Heaney, MD, is an internationally recognized calcium and bone health expert and a professor of medicine at Creighton University in Omaha, NE. A frequent lecturer and educator on human calcium metabolism, health, and physiology, Heaney serves on the board of directors for the National Osteoporosis Foundation. In 1990, he was recognized by the American Dietetic Association for his work on human calcium intake.
