Scott H. Sicherer, MD

Scott H. Sicherer, MD, is an assistant professor of pediatrics at the Jaffe Food Allergy Institute of Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. He specializes primarily in food allergy. His research interests include the epidemiologic and clinical aspects of food allergy. His epidemiological studies include the determination of prevalence of food allergies in the general population and genetic epidemiology, including a genome-wide search for markers linked to peanut allergy. His clinical studies include projects to determine the clinical manifestations of a variety of disorders (e.g. peanut allergy, eosinophilic gastroenteropathies, anaphylaxis, and atopic dermatitis). Sicherer supervises three clinics per week in pediatric allergy.

He is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and completed residencies in allergy and immunology at Johns Hopkins and pediatrics at Mt. Sinai School of Medicine. Board certified in pediatrics and in allergy and immunology, Sicherer is a fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology.
