Scott M. Fried, DO, FAOAO, is an orthopaedic and hand surgeon at The Upper Extremity Institute in Pennsylvania. A graduate of the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, Fried is board-certified in orthopaedic surgery with the American Osteopathic Association.
Fried has published numerous papers and two books, Light at the End of the Carpal Tunnel: A Guide to Understanding and Relief from the Pain of Nerve Problems and The Carpal Tunnel Help Book: Self-Healing Alternatives for Carpal Tunnel and Other Repetitive-Strain Injuries. He is a member of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopaedics, and the American Association for Hand Surgery.
