Thomas Klitzner, MD, PhD

Thomas Klitzner, MD, PhD, is a professor of pediatrics at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Medicine and is chief of the Division of Pediatric Cardiology at Mattel Children's Hospital. He is also medical director of the Clinical Cardiology Electrophysiology program and vicechair for academic affairs in the department of pediatrics, both at UCLA's School of Medicine.

Klitzner is president of the American Heart Association Western States Affiliate and chairman of the Cardiology Programs Section of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Klitzner has a bachelor's in physics from Harvard University, a master's in mechanical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and medical and doctorate degrees in physiology from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.
