Pygeum was very effective for me, but almost killed me. Read on: the symptom for which I took pygeum, BPH and decreased urinary flow, was effectively treated within a week of taking the herb. I also noticed other pleasant side effects, such as increased libido, increased semen volume, and rapid recovery after sex. Unfortunately, pygeum also was the cause of occasional rapid heart rate that took me...

- OmarRead More Read Less

I have been taking Saw Palmetto and Pygeum for about 2 years and it works great for symptoms of enlarged prostate. Went to ER in the beginning unable to urinate. They prescribed Avodart which didn't help. Then I got Cardura and it worked but feeling like I was going to pass out never went away, so I got this combo. It was a miracle, I could go with no problem again and no side effects. Now 2 years later I have terminal gas and a belly ache. I have ruled out the Saw Palmetto, it's the definitely the Pygeum. It's really a shame because it works at least as good as the prescription drugs. I had no problems up to 18 months. It might be because I took 300mg from the start and never backed off until recently to 200mg but the damage has been done. I highly recommend Pygeum but would have reduced the dose after everything was working good to 2 a day, then I might be able to keep taking it. For now it's back on the Cardura and those horrible side effects. I hope to be able to get off Cardura in 30 days.Read More Read Less

Unfortunately, pygeum also was the cause of occasional rapid heart rate that took me some time to associate with the herb. After six months of use (3 weeks on, 1 week off for six months) it caused me to have atrial flutter, exacerbating a previously unknown congenital nerve defect in my right atrium. This reaction to pygeum caused me to undergo cardio version followed by ablation surgery. I ceased taking pygeum after surgery, then resumed after a successful 3 month recovery. Within days symptoms of rapid heart rate returned. I experimented over a few weeks, and positively linked pygeum use to heart rate. Due to my experience, I cannot recommend pygeum.Read More Read Less

Pygeum 100mg seemed to work but after 18 months is giving me a stomach ache with nausea. Been taking 3 a day like it says on bottle, it takes 3 a day to work good. Too bad, I would have stayed on it for life even though it's a pain taking 3x a day.

As far as I am concerned Pygeum is a miracle vitamin or herb or whatever it is called. I started to use it about six weeks ago and it has made a dramatic change in my life. I no longer get up 2-3 times a night to urinate. I very infrequently have the sudden urge to urinate. Anyone who is having problems should invest about $15.00 or so and buy a bottle --a legitimate bottle of Pygeum and give it a try. It will be the best $15.00 you ever spent. I am at a loss why some drug company hasn't woken up and started to produce their own Pygeum product. I don't need any research studies. After going for over a year with my prostrate problem and trying the advertised stuff I decided to Google the problem. I had never heard of Pygeum and I decided to give it a try. After it worked so well for me I told my brother about it--who had a similar problem. It's worked its miracle for him too. I hope that by writing this review which I never do that if I just help one person feel better then my time was well spent. So go buy a bottle for about $15.00 and be positive. It will work for you too. Read More Read Less

I suffered from dificulity ejaculating and E.D. Starting at 100mg daily, I increased dosage over two months and discovered my effective dosage of 2 grams (2000mg) daily.

Best thing I have found to get a good nights sleep without having to get up from 3-5 times. It cut it down to usually one get up. No side effects. Saw Palmatto doesn't work. Its a joke. Was using GNC but they changed the name/packaging and doubled the price!

My issued had been always having that last drip after urinating. No matter how long I stood there or how hard I tried pushing out the last bit, there was always leakage. I received my Pygeum on Tuesday, took my first 100mg pill that night, continued to take one pill each morning after that. That Saturday I noticed there was no more excess leakage at all. Today is a full week and still no return to the leakage. No other side effect.

This product works as it should on the Prostate and allows me to sleep longer each night. On the other hand, it caused more gastrointestinal problems that i am willing to tolerate. I had soft frequent bowel movements and lots of gas.

Use Pygeum with Saw Palmetto and showed definate decease in urination. A great alternative to drugs with strong side effects...I got tired of feeling tired and dizzy. I have no side effects with these supplements. Good natural alternative!

Usually combined with Saw Palmetto , but found to decrease sexual desire. Has to choose between desire and urine flow.
