Every time I take a single capsule, my skin turns red all over and "burns" for about an hour.

I used to take Nasonex, a steroid based nasal spray, every day for my year around sinus allergies. I then switched to a daily routine of Allegra, after years of taking Nasonex, to get away from the steroid addiction. A combination of cost, and not wanting to be dependent on allopathic medication, led me to investigate alternative medicine treatments for treating allergic rhinitis. I tried bromelain (an extract from pineapple stem), and it didn't help. Also gave me an irritated stomach. I was lucky that the second supplement I tried, Stinging Nettle leaf, was exactly what I needed. To fast forward, I now take Stinging Nettle leaf daily, and only need an Allegra on rare occasion for very bad hayfever days. I take an Allegra about once a month now, while previously needed it every day. As for the stinging nettle, as an herb, it took a bit of time to take effect, but now I breathe easy most of the time. I experimented with dosage; I started with 300mg a day, then tried 500mg, then a whole gram, then 600mg, then 900mg. I find that 600mg a day works for me, although I sometimes take 900mg for the heck of it. I would advise anyone with sinus allergies to give it a try.Read More Read Less

I walk in stinging nettles in our wood. The pain in my knee has improved and although the stinging is a bit odd, it is not as bad as one would expect. The tingling improves with regular treatment. Grasp the nettle and swish over the area to treat.

I drink nettle tea to help lower my BGL. WARNING: You must monitor your BGL. Levels can lower quite quickly to too low. I slowly decreased my insulin to a level that was safe according to the amount of tea I drank.

I have been using the freely available powdered root form of Nettle as a Dopamine receptor agonist beginning therapy in April 2013. This is now January 2014 and I have experienced No noticable side-effects. This alternative therapy has proven itself to be Highly effective and Safe. To ensure that I remained safe during the introductory phase and after this time I accurately weigh my daily doses to 1000th of a gram. Caution: I would Not recomend any other method of calculating the amounts required to achieve a Safe therapeutic dose as this is a Powerful and Chemically complex Herbal Medicinal.Read More Read Less

I've had pretty "hay fever," as we call it, for decades and don't want to take drugs for it -- plus none have been very helpful. But thie year I started taking organic freeze-dried nettle capsules regularly (I think that's the effective way for me) and it worked beautifully! I'm sold on it and will continue to take it every year -- maybe even year-round.

I had eczema on my leg for over 6 months. Tried to apply hydrocortizones with no success. After 3 days of 30 drops/3x times a day of nettle leaf supplement from eclectic institute, the eczema faded and after 3 more days now it is healing at last.

I'm another reviewer with nothing but raves for stinging nettle. I've suffered with hayfever/allergies my whole life. This has become my first line of attack when allergies pop up. Ant-histamines can make my restless legs situation worse. Quercetin is OK but doesn't work as great as stinging nettle but I often take them together.

FIVE STARS! The settings are messed up. It keeps defaulting back to one star. The nettle is working better on my allergies than Clariton and I don't feel sleepy. I take 1 with 1 QBC (Quercetin-Bromeline-C) in the morning, 1 with Emergency in mid day, and 1 with 1 QBC at bedtime. I take Nature's Way brand and it's leaf parts.

Since I began taking freeze dried stinging nettles as recommended by Dr. Weil for severe sinus allergies, I have almost completely eliminated my need for Claritin. Whereas before I was taking Claritin every 24 hours, I now only need to take one once every several weeks. Stinging nettles work, and they seem to take effect much more quickly than other antihistamines, as well.

I take this with Quercetin because I was told to without much explanation. I have extreme nonspecific pain from unknown cause. These two help better than morphine.

This has worked so much faster and better than any of the otc meds I have tried and I have tried most of them! Doesn't cause drowsiness either. I was skeptical to try but am so impressed by how well it works I will definitely keep using!

Best supplement for my allergies. I have tried every prescribed and over the counter and nothing worked. My allergies were so bad that interfered with my work, my day to day life. My wife researched and found the tea which helped a lot then we found the capsules in a health food store and since I stared taking them not one attack. If I feel an attack setting in I take 4 a day ,2 in the morning and 2 at night. I highly recommend nettle.

I actually stumbled on this accidently while helping take out some underbrush. I didn't know what we'd be doing, so I was wearing light pants that the nettle went through easily. My knees feel great! Now I'm keeping an eye out for Nettle to whack my knees against. I'm not sure if taking it internally would have the same effect.

I recently had a late summer allergy attack after visiting relatives out of state. Not only did I have the sinus issues but a bad cough as well. My mom told me her doc recommended this to her so I thought I would give it a shot. The first day of taking this my cough dramatically reduced, no more post nasal drip! Worked so much better than other OTC products out there and no side effects!

I started taking 2 capsules end of March and continued taking them throughout the summer My allergies that year were minimal. The sneezing attacks, nasal discharge, allergic eyes were all minimal. Before taking the Nettle I suffered tremendously with allergies, and working outside for a living it really made a difference. I would recommend to everyone allergy sufferer to try it for a month or so and see.

This with saw palmetto eliminated the burning symptoms and related due to benign prostate enlargement within 2 days taken 2x a day and tapered to once a day. Urine tests and culture found no infections to explain the penile tip burning, slow stream and other symptoms that appeared to be a UTI or prostate infection. I used Swanson for this and Schiff for the saw palmetto. Together they worked best
