I used to take Nasonex, a steroid based nasal spray, every day for my year around sinus allergies. I then switched to a daily routine of Allegra, after years of taking Nasonex, to get away from the steroid addiction. A combination of cost, and not wanting to be dependent on allopathic medication, led me to investigate alternative medicine treatments for treating allergic rhinitis. I tried bromelai...

I have used Stinging Nettle in oral capsules from the Allergy Research Group. They have worked very well as an adjunct treatment when my other allergy-asthma treatments were just not enough. This was the case when I was working as a Hospice Nurse, and was traveling to see patients in their homes. During the Spring Allergy Season, my allergies-asthma really flare up. This was in addition to the routine and emergency relief allergy-asthma medicines I normally take. Difficulty breathing, especially while driving, is very scary. The added relief I had from the Stinging Nettle helped me breathe better, in turn greatly decreasing my anxiety. It seemed to have excellent anti-inflammatory benefits.Read More Read Less
