Recently I experienced a case of Temporal Arteritis. Never had anything like this before. It went on for 3 days of excruciating pain in my temporal area of my head. No sleep, and completely disabling. (800mg)White Willow Bark with a 1/2 caffeine tablet(100mg)twice a day was the only thing that worked for me. During the night I just take Turmeric with the White Willow and sleep comes easy. Prognosi...

When I get a headache I chew some willow bark. Since I have plenty in my back yard it is easy to get. It always gets rid of my headache. Also, if the leaves are chewed into a poultice and applied to the bite, they permanently remove the pain of hornet bites. I haven't tried it on other insect bites, but I am sure it would work. Many people I know use this and it is always effective.

I've been suffering with trochanteric bursitis in my hip for two weeks and starting to have stomach problems due to frequent ibuprofen use, which didn't get rid of the pain. I read about White Willow Bark and decided to give it a try. I take Nature's Way (2)400 mg capsules in morning and again at night. After the first dose, I could tell a huge difference. Taking at night also helped tremendously with pain upon waking. It still hurts to get out of bed, but not excruciating as it was prior to white willow. I continue to take Motrin, but now able to reduce dosage to only (1) 200 mg tablet twice per day. Wow! Normally, I'm not one to believe all the miracle claims of supplements, but this one really worked for me. (Only gave brand name above because it's not listed as a choice in the drop down list.)Read More Read Less

I have had two cervical spine surgeries, total 4 levels of fusion, I have spinal lordosis, and cervical spinal stenosis. White Willow Bark seems to help as well as Vicodin or Cecebrex, it is safe to continue to take it, I take 4 caps daily as recommened on container. Can I take more, due to my age surgery is out of the question. I have ftingling and nubness in my hand, but mostly I need to control the pain that I have in my neck which is at times at a level eight or nine.

I have used white willow bark for back pain (sciatica) and for R.A. and found it as effective as taking 3 or 4 regular strength aspirin. White Willow Bark is not supposed to have the potential liver damaging effect as aspirin.

Triple Flex with white willow bark extract. For my knees. I have exchanged this for my Extra Strenth Flex All--which did not always help. I think it is the white willow bark that is helping. My knee's get so bad that they will not bend good and they hurt. I feel a big change in them, they actually feel normal now. Just have to do my drug interaction with it due to being on other medication.

I have a sensitivity to aspirin (upsets my stomache). I tried the white willow bark after becoming very tired of taking narcotics for relief from spine pain. It has been a godsend for me, no stomache problems and the least amount of pain in years. Of course get it from a reputable company.
