I have had a dry, hacking, persistent cough for 15 years because of asthma. My niece introduced me to mullein and I started using it. I steep about 3 teaspoons in a cup of hot water about 1/2 hour, add some honey or sugar and then add it to a 6 cup container and keep it in the fridge. I drink a half cup, 2 times a day. I have to tell you, the dry cough is no more and I am expelling any phlegm ...

I have damaged lungs and restricted passage ways due to the damage, which was as a result of Liquifaction from earthquakes, my lungs were severally compromised. I found this product and bough 8 bottles. After a month of using it as per instructions, I have found it has not been of any benefit to me at all, and really, all the build up of what it does is nothing more than marketing rubbish. Very an...

I've had terrible pneumonia, so bad that even codeine based cough syrups are unable to effectively suppress my symptoms. I've been drinking this stuff as a tea, and it helped to some degree. Without it, my cough gets really bad. It seems to suppress appetite though. I decided to make an oil lamp with the herb suspended in the oil to see if the smoke would improve my lung condition. Ever since I lit the thing and inhaled the smoke I feel almost normal. This stuff is potent. I wish I knew what the side effects are.Read More Read Less

I have been taking mullein leaf capsules for 1 year to open my sinuses and to receive a related earache at the suggestion of someone else. Found the caps online. This in the AM plus vitamin C and 1 tablet of bio-rutin complex b4 sleep and my decades long severe reaction to petroleum distillates (in many household products) and Smog) has virtually disappeared.

I had a persistent cough for weeks. Stopped on the way home and cut some mullein. Chewed part of the leaf. Instant relief. It took the rest home and made a tea. Drinking it daily to relieve my cough. Great stuff.

I have been putting a fresh mullein leaf in my sock by my heal for the last 6 days. The horrible pain I had with plantar facetious has been very greatly reduced. I put on in my sock in the morning and one at night. I really can't believe how much better this makes my feet feal . There is almost no pain in the morning when I wake up. My feet use to hurt a great deal in the morning .

I highly recommend this herb to anyone with any breathing problems.Read More Read Less

i have always picked these fuzzy leaves for my mother since i was little . we called them rabbit ears because they were fuzzy and have the shape of a rabbits ear . i picked the leaves and left them out to dry and my mother would make a tea out of it . she used it for urinary tract infections and i think gallbladder infection . it always seemed to work for her :)

Awesome herb! I was living with two indoor tobacco smokers and waking nightly with a persistent and nagging dry cough. I picked, dried and brewed about 12 grams in 4 cups of water for 20 minutes. (Slow simmer.) I drank 3 cups before bedtime and slept through the night with no cough. Great Lung tonic, calmative and demulcent herb!

My entire family uses mullien oil for various wounds and injuries. Even used 2 drops in the dogs ear to heal infection the vet couldn't fix with fancy prescriptions. We make our own. Then I know it's pure and natural.

My dad has a sore his leg that has been open and "unhealable" for 3 months, constantly oozing a yellow liquid. I boiled the leaves from a mullien plant, ground them up, added vitamin E oil to my mixture, and applied it to his leg. The pain was instantly relieved and within 3 hours the wound had formed a scab.

I have been suffering from a very bad asthma attack I had 10 months ago. I haven't been able to work since. Doctors have me on Advair, singulair, albuterol, asthmanex, prednisone, etc...my condition has only improved slightly. I am suffering from all of the side effects from all of the meds too. Needless to say I have been miserable, coughing, wheezing, hacking up tons of phlegm, weakness etc. Someone at a coffee shop suggested Mullein tea, 3 times a day...I was scared so I hadn't tried until 2 days ago. I bought loose leaf tea at a health food store. Steeped 1 tbs for 10 min in 8 oz of boiling water, added local honey for sweetness. I am so much better, no inhaler, less coughing, less phlegm and my lungs don't feel like they are 100 pounds each. I am hoping it isn't hopeful thinking...but I am happy I tried it and will keep it up for now. I will update you all as I improve...hopefully!Read More Read Less

After stumbling on mullein information on the internet, I purchased some tea. I have asthma and when I get a cold I get very bad sinus and chest congestion. I also have allergies all year round. I went on a cruise and came back with a cold. I felt miserable. I started drinking the tea the next day. By that night I was feeling much better, instead of worse like I normally would have.

I have been taking mullein capsules for allergies for 15 years during allergy season to open my sinuses, unplug my ears, and relieve congestion/pressure in my head. It does an outstanding job and is a healthy alternative to the sinus tylenol I used to take for relief.

I drink hot mullein tea to clear thick nasal and bronchial congestion, it works within minutes. Previously the only remedy I knew was Mucinex, effectiveness of which was minimal, and lessened over time. I obtain bulk leaves, boil them 15 minutes, steep l5, strain through cloth. One to three cups daily, as needed. Store in refrigerator about 2 days. No more respiratory infections for this very allergic lady!
