Co-author of the Better Homes and Gardens New Father Book: What Every Man Needs to Know to Be a Good Dad and author of the nationally syndicated column "Fatherly Advice," Wade Horn, PhD, is a clinical child psychologist and president of the National Fatherhood Initiative. Horn is the former Commissioner for Children, Youth, and Families and Chief of the Children's Bureau within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services as well as a presidential appointee to the National Commission on Children. Prior to these appointments, Horn was director of outpatient psychological services at the Children's Hospital National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. and an associate professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at George Washington University.
