What should I know regarding pregnancy, nursing and administering X-Hist Pediatric to children or the elderly?

If you are:

Pregnant:

Only When Necessary: EVIDENCE FOR MALFORMATIONS; CAN REDUCE UTERINE BLOOD FLOW CAUSING FETAL HYPOXIA

Only When Necessary

Nursing:

Precaution: ORAL BIOAVAILABILITY LOW; INFANT EXPOSURE MAY BE MINIMAL

Precaution: USE WITH CAUTION. MAY CAUSE PARADOXICAL EXCITATION/INHIBIT LACTATION.

An adult over 60:

Precaution: (SOM)(BEERS) MORE SENSITIVE TO CV & CNS EFX; URINARY RET.,INSOMNIA.

Precaution: (SOM)(BEERS) ANTICHOLINERGIC/HYPOTENSION; NON-SEDATING AGENT PREFER.

Giving X-Hist Pediatric to a child under 12:

Absolute Contraindication: RISK OF CNS EXCITATION, SEIZURE. CONTRAINDICATED AGE < 2 YEARS.

Absolute Contraindication: RISK OF CNS EXCITATION. DO NOT USE AGE <6 YEARS WITHOUT CLINICIAN CONSULT.

Absolute Contraindication: NOT FOR COUGH/COLD AGE <6 YRS WITHOUT CLINICIAN CONSULT. POSS.CNS EFFECTS.
