Biography

Matt McMillen is a Washington, D.C.-based freelance writer who has been covering health issues for the past four years, primarily for The Washington Post. Food is his other primary beat. His work has appeared in Gourmet, Bon Appetit, GQ, Women’s Health, the Chicago Tribune, and elsewhere. He was also a contributing writer for the Oxford Encyclopedia of Food and Drink in America. He has a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Loyola University in Chicago.
