It's so sad MDs don't know a thing about this product. Reliance on antibiotics is all that's prescribed. Cranberry juice is too acidic and counter productive, even in concentrate form without sugar. This product, with just 2 doses x's 2 days showed its effectiveness in the void (clearer urine). A third day at 2 x's a day, for a total of 3 days, 2 x's a day should suffice to go onto preventive main...

Everyone should be aware that D-mannose is a sugar. Every bacteria in your gut will want to get its hands on it and chow down, potentially causing overgrowth and massive gas production. Even though it can be effective for eliminating E. Coli, also be aware that other bacteria can give UTIs that this will have no effect on. Antibiotics can sometimes be necessary. A kidney infection can kill you...

After four lots of antibiotics, I would finish one lot, two days later the smelly urine, stomach pains and back pains were wack. This has been on going for months. I then discovered D-Mannose and after two days of taking it, I have no symptoms at all. So happy, unbelievable.

Cured my recurrent UTIs. Definitely a game charger for me. At the first sign of a UTI I take the recommended dose and within 1 day no more urgency or pain. Highly recommend.

All my life I've had multiple UTI's per year. Since total hysterectomy in 2009, I had constantly. Was put on Macrodantin for suppression. I also have IBS. The constant explosive diarrhea that came from the antibiotics were unbearable. I started taking 600 MG. D-mannose twice a day in pill form. Had no UTI for 6 months. Ran out of pills and got one in 2 weeks. I will not run out of them again. It also does not seem to be affecting my colon in any way. No extra gas or diarrhea beyond my normal IBS attacks.Read More Read Less

This has changed my life, but a word to the wise... don't take too much or you will suffer PAINFUL gas like you never thought possible. I have E-coli, which is nearly impossible to eliminate. I take D-mannose at the slightest hint of a UTI. I also eliminated white sugar from my diet. Don't give up on this if you suffer unwanted side-effects. Lower the dose and try again. It's miraculous.

I have suffered from UTIs my whole life. I couldn't wear jeans.... ever. I had to wear dresses when sitting for any length of time. Soap, sex, tampons, hot tubs all caused me trouble. I now take the supplement as needed when "that feeling" starts. I also take as a preventative when wearing pants (including jeans!) or when traveling. No more restrictions or fears of having to go to the urgent care on vacation!

I feel like many of us don’t understand how much plants and natural remedies can affect us. I decided to take D-Mannose pills after and urologist prescribed me antibiotics for frequent urination, even if the analysis came out fine. After reading the side effects of the antibiotics, I decided to try mannose first. I paid a lot of money to get it imported from the USA to my country, and began taking 2 500mg pills a day. It seemed fine, so I increased the dosage to 3 pills. A few hours later I was in a lot of pain. The inflammation in my stomach was so bad that it reached my back and couldn’t even sit down. Also, the urine became bright yellow. I stopped the mannose but ever since, I get stomach aches after each meal and I developed acid reflux. I also get cystitis episodes, in which I end up peeing up to 8 times in less than 2 hrs. I’m very angry at myself for taking this and making things much worse. I hope my experience helps somebody.Read More Read Less

Suggested by urologist, and it does prevent UTI's when used consistently. How much to use varies from Dr. to packaging. Reading here how people increase dosage without advise other than their own. Azo makes a product with a high dose recommendation. Cranberry is not necessary ingredient. Best to start as s preventative at 500-750mg day. Drink 8oz water with it Probably good to take after sex, or i found important after any diarreah. Can increase dosage to 2 or 3x day if uti is suspected Take for a few days til symptoms subside. Recommended to me by Dr to continue for up to a week. If symptoms do not begin to subside in a couple days seek help from doctor. Helpful is not to become dyhydrated. A probiotic of lactobacillis and reuteri, or one with multiple probiotic types is helpful to the pelvic region too, for females. Read More Read Less

I take two pills after my breakfast in the morning with water. I think it is the only thing that helped with my chronic UTI. I worry that it is a kind of glucose as I do not want it to upset my A1C. It has been excellent so far.

Had several UTIs in a row while also experiencing horrible menopause symptoms in 2014 & 2015. UTIs became a way of life at that point. Lots of Dr visits and ALOT of horrid antibiotics with the same outcome-very terrible stomach issues, non stop diarrhea, and no relief of UTI symptoms. Made about 6 Dr visits in two months trying to combat the UTIs and the side effects of the different antibiotics - Cipro, Sulfa, Flagyl and different combos of several others. Nothing worked. UTIs would go away but then return. I found and tried D mannose on the advice of a nurse. BINGO! It worked IMMEDIATELY. It was NOW brand powdered D mannose and I took one teaspoon twice a day in a glass of water. No side effects. I have been using D mannose since then, whenever I feel that sensation, and it knocks it out right away. Best stuff ever. Highly recommend. Read More Read Less

Every time I have had UTI, within 24 hours of taking D-mannose it has cleared it right up. It really is a life changer. In the past I tried cranberry supplements and had to result to taking antibiotics (which I’m sure is the right medication for some people), but for me, D-Mannose is an instant relief and treatment

I began taking this supplement about 4 months ago after a UTI that needed 2 rounds of antibiotics. I take a dose weekly and as needed when I feel that familiar twinge in my bladder and I feel great!

Read all the potential side effects and how to take it. Was prescribed to me by my Urogynocologist as a alternative to antibiotics. 2 500mg pills every day. Took 2 pills with food and an hour later my stomach is killing me, super nauseous and I’m trying to drink water like crazy to help flush out the side effects. If you’re going to take this and are sensitive to medication either don’t or ease into it. Will try 1 pill tomorrow with a ton of water and hope for the best. Really tired of UTI’s and antibiotics but it’s better than this. Read More Read Less

I was getting recurring UTI's and kept going on antibiotics which would knock it back, then it would come back right after. I've tried cranberry supplements before with no success, then I read about d-mannose which is the sugar in cranberry. Very quickly my symptoms improved... faster and more thoroughly than the antibiotics. I've tried to go off it, and if I miss a dose or two, the symptoms will start creeping back. If that happens, I have to take a double dose for a few days. So, I'm taking 1/2 teaspoon of the powder in my coffee every day, buy it when it's on sale, and will never be without it. (Note that I also have fibromyalgia and interstitial cystitis so I always have pain when I urinate. This has thankfully improved those symptoms as well to the point where it's not torture when I urinate.)Read More Read Less

JUST started taking a powder called Goodbye UTI! which is D-Mannose. Had 3 doses today, seems to be helping, but I have also been taking multiple capsules of chanca piedra. This has been my go-to for the past 5-6 years for preventing fullblown UTI pain. But on Friday July 30 (2021) I got double whammied with a UTI out of the blue AND a vaginal yeast infection. I believe these areas are too close together and passing germs, because the UTI pain and vaginal itch flare up at the same time. The chanca piedra relief would be quite temporary. I did start taking much more of it and more often. Had to pick up Monistat for the other problem after 5 days because coconut oil relief was also shortlived. This double infection has changed my life. For eight days I've had no caffeine, wine, spicy foods, chocolate, sugar in general ... I know D-Mannose is a form of sugar but am glad to be trying it. Right now am feeling fine after only 3 doses. Of course I've had gallons of water since this started. Wish me luck. Read More Read Less

After bladder prolapse surgery a 1.5 years ago I promptly had SIX UTIs one right after the other and two weeks after I would finish antibiotics. Culture showed off-the-scales amount of Ecoli bacteria. Went on suppression therapy of Macrobid (which is dangerous over time); went off and technician suggested D-Mannose powder. I take 1/2 tsp (500 mg) every morning on empty stomach (to coat tract in advance). Have been taking over two months now and tho' uro/gyn wanted to put me on Bactrim suppression therapy FOR NO REASON; possibly for rest of life, I asked to stay with D-Mannose. No burning whatsoever; no telltale signs of the symptoms of UTI I am all too familiar with. Fingers crossed this good luck and result continues. Read More Read Less

I had bladder cancer so now have a neo bladder. I suffered infections every month and was constantly on antibiotics. My consultant recommended D mannose to try, I have been on them 4 months and not one infection, to me they are like a miracle.
