I am allergic to antibiotics and susceptible to fungal infections, so I frequently have to resort to unconventional treatments for UTIs and Candidiasis. Oregano oil works well for both, and it's hands down the most effective thing to use against any fungal infection. Out of curiosity I have my boyfriend use it on his warts, as no over the counter or other alternative treatment worked on them. Resu...

I have used oregano oil for tooth aches. I use a syringe and put one or two drops on my tooth. Let sit for ten minutes and spit out. Twice a day and by the second day the pain is gone. I was told it helps with infections and it does.

Been having allergy/sinus/ear issues. I would wake up at night w/throbbing in ears, feverish & agitated. Plus the usual lethargy, wooziness etc. I started taking NOW oregano oil capsules, min. 55% carvacrol, 2x daily. First night, no throbbing, woke up next morning amazed. I still take a generic Claritin daily, and use a humidifier w/filter off & on, dust mask when cleaning etc. But the capsules have helped me very, very much. I am considering a higher carvacrol %, I've read that 75-85% is most effective. (FYI, I do take a low dose blood pressure med. Pharmacist had told me o.o. might raise pressure a little. I don't know if it has raised mine any or not.)Read More Read Less

I treated a sizeable bedsore that was not responding to conventional care with oregano oil.It had been the same size for months. The first month of using wild oregano oil in it the sore healed in 2 centimeters. The wound bed was pink and vascular. The doctor was amazed, but I couldn't tell him what I was doing, because, I promise you, he would have told me to stop. The wound is now healed well in just a couple of months. It had been 2 years with conventional medicine, and was still not healed. Read More Read Less

Told about for a cold. While it is definately helping shorten my cold life. I started too late, should have taken a day sooner when first signs of cold. Also, I have bad ibd. And on the third day my intestines feel calm and relaxed. So it must be also helping my inflamation, bacteria as well!!

For toothache, a dab or two of oregano oil on the affected area always works for me. The pain lessens immediately, is gone in around 60 seconds and lasts for around 5 to 6 hours. The taste is eye wateringly bad, but the relief is so worth it! BTW, in an emergency, before I can get to the Oregano oil, squeezing the fleshy area between thumb and forefinger lessens toothache pain for me. Doesn't stop the pain but makes it manageable. Hope this helps someone else.

I have used oregano oil for acne as well in the past and it has worked. My brother also had acne and used oregano to treat it. So far the oregano has help to dry the breakouts. Just use cautiously as it does burn a bit. I use oreganol full strengh from North American Herb & Spice. It has worked well to help treat my mild to moderate acne.

soar throat persistant for several days tried many other remedies like tea, soup, and such but have had not much success in curing this virus so decided why not try this oregano oil we bought from a health food store. The product worked wonders for my husband almost instantly but however is taking more time for me. Still think i should see a doc. for a professional opinion though.

I developed oral thrush after using a prescription nasal steroid spray, omnaris, for sinusitis. I used this nasal spray less than 2 weeks when symptoms occurred. After 6 weeks of prescriptions for Diflucan, Nystatin and Nystatin suspension the condition did not improve and suffered side effects from the meds. After much research I started taking oil of oregano 3Xday and swabbed my tongue with Gentian Violet 2Xday.I also closely followed the candida diet - gluten free, sugar free and dairy free. I also took a probiotic once daily and ate greek yogurt almost daily. Once I started this regimen I was well in approximately 4 weeks. I now use oil of oregano occasionally when I have a sinus/allergy flare up and it works. Read More Read Less

Sinus infection. Used oil-filled caps. Works better than a prescribed anti-biotic. It is dramatic and there is no mistaking it. I've tried it both internally (in capsules) and by adding a drop or two to a sinus rinse (Neilmed squeeze bottle.) Fill bottle half, shake to mix, then fill or it won't mix. It will STING if you have a sinus infection then in a day or so it won't. Amazingly effective. One thing regular antibiotics do is if you have anything thinking of being a pimple, they will come to a head right away or heal within a day. The oregano oil has the same effect. I'm pretty sure it is an effective antibiotic taken internally. Oh and it also cleared up mild athlete's foot.Read More Read Less

I had a sore in the upper gum and used it with a q-tip to the roof of my mouth as it was hard to eat anything without having terrible pain. Just after 2 applications the pain has ceased and I am able to eat again.

I take Oil of Oregano gel caps for Candida, and it works amazingly well! I am currently using the drops on my skin to help treat a fungal infection as well as the caps. I am sold on this stuff for Candida. Best treatment ever in my opinion, and it's affordable and easy to use. If you have systemic Candidiasis start with one gel cap three times a day until you go through "die-off" symptoms, then you can gradually increase every time you get past your next set of "die-off". Die-off feels kinda like the flu so you know the oil is doing it's job. I increased to as much as three caps 3x a day to get rid of the infection, but I had a really bad systemic infection, too. You may not need that much. It's powerful stuff!!!!!Read More Read Less

Used the GNC brand oil of oregano for a sinus infection. Been taking it yesterday and today and today was noticeably different when I woke up! Feeling much better already, so much that I am choosing not to take the antibiotic prescribed to me (haven't started it yet). Great stuff, although it does taste pretty funky...I put mine under the tongue until I feel it tingle and then rinse it down with my chamomile tea.

I was very happy with Oil of Oregano-helped me with gi problems-bloating/cramping and diarrhea as well as with acne. My nutritionist told me it would help kill the bad bacteria and fungi in my gut which she believed (and my stool sample confirmed) were causing my symptoms. I just took 15 mg a night in capsule form for two months and I'm so happy with the results. My skin is 95% clear compared to it being terribly broken out and my stomach is so much better. I also cleaned up my diet a lot so make sure you do that in addition for best results! It's also SO affordable and always more healthy to go the natural route. I do have to say that she did not want me to take it forever as it can be quite harsh and is not meant to be taken for the long term. She said I could switch to garlic every other day if I wanted to continue but that the oil of oregano shouldn't be taken for longer than about 2 months. Try it! You won't regret it. :)Read More Read Less
