- management or monitoring precaution: Renal-Dose adjust according to renal function. Monitor renal function and drug levels to avoid toxicity. Neuro/Psych- Hearing loss is possible even with normal peak and trough levels. Test hearing if at risk for ototoxicity or with anticipated prolonged therapy.
Giving Haloperidol to a child under 12
- Severe Precaution: Maintain appropriate electrolyte levels. Monitor serum levels due to renal immaturity.
