- management or monitoring precaution: Neuro/Psych-Anticholinergic effects may cause sedation, worsen cognitive impairment and increase fall risk. High risk of delirium Gastrointestinal-May cause or worsen pre-existing constipation. Urogenital-Best avoided in patients with urinary retention from any cause. Renal-Maximum dose of 5 mg/day for CrCL < 30 mL/min. Ocular-Use cautiously if being treated for narrow-angle glaucoma. Cardiovascular-Risk of QT prolongation and atrial fibrillation may occur.
Giving Haloperidol to a child under 12
