I was just prescribed this med for back and tight pain that is unbearable at times, I have read some of the side effects I do well with meds so I will surely let you know start time-10-10-09 Will get back, with results after two weeks.

Works well but stay out of the sun. I was in the hot Iraq summer temperatures 110-20 and got a rash. I had to train in the sun for a couple hours a day and walk alot so my experience is different than most.

I have been taking piroxicam 20mg capsules for two months. I have not noticed any significant reductions in pain. Over the past year I have been working to reduce my blood pressure without medication by changing my diet. Last year it was 142/87. Two months ago it was 130/72. Today it was 157/94. I am working with my doctor to find the cause. If it is the medication...I will stop taking it.

i was on this med for 3 weeks then all of the sudden when the weather got hot i developed a bad rash on the back of my neck,shoulders,upper back and upper arms. i went to the er and was taken off this and put on prednizone for 8 days. i was put on piroxicam for burchitis in my hips.

not really sure what the reason for the medicine was for. I think it was for my back.

Worked great for arthritis and severe knee pain after just a few days - but then the itching started. Severe itching all over - neck, shoulders, hips, inner thighs, upper arms - driving me crazy! Guess I'm allergic - too bad because didn't have any other bad side effects so far.

I no longer have the pain in my legs, and I can walk much better. I feel better than I have felt in the last two years.

I have no side effects. I havebeen using Piroxicam for several years and can't function without it. It relieves my pain and stiffness associated with C-spine joint inflamation.

i have only takin this medication a few times and i am taking it for my ankle... seems that my ankle has gotten worse and everytime i take the medication my body starts to itch, i get really tiny bumps and then ca couple days later most the bumps go away and the ones that stay get bigger and they itch like crazy! i wouldnt recoment this perscription! im gonna call the doctor tomorrow and see what the deal is!

Dr didn't tell me smokers shouldn't take it. I have severe difficulty breathing. Hands swelled up and frequent urination. It worked wonderfully for the pain but if you can't breathe then it's not very effective. I had to choose between pain or breathing. I decided to breathe!

worked great for pain but caused extreme water retention, abnormal ekg reading and other health issues that required hospitalization. actually worked great for the pain if it wasnt for the side effects.

I have had a lot of joint pain due to ostioarthritis and cannot hardly function without taking this medicine.Piroxicam made a world of difference in my life.I havn't had any problems as long as taken with food.Sometimes constipation.

This medication caused my mouth to swell, and the roof of my mouth felt like it was burned/scalded. I got a horrifying stomach ache as well and it did not help the pain that it was prescribed for.

i just started taking this med last month march after having my knee worked on.

Good drug as long as I take with antiacid meds....works for the pain with my arthritis and lupus. I like it....my joint pain is much better on this medicine.

It has not helped me in the inflamation of my hands due to trigger finger/carpal syndrome.But it eases my back pain a little,without affecting my stomach.
