I have insomnia and can't sleep without a sleeping pill. I'm also an addict so I'm not allowed any strong narcotics. Trazodone has worked very well for me. I've been taking it for over a year now. I started at 100mg and am now up to the max of 300mg/night. I will have to find another pill once this starts to become ineffective. But it puts me to sleep nicely and I don't feel anything linger the ne...

I have terrible insomnia and always searching for something to help me with this. I have tried this several times over the course of a year and did not like the way it made me feel the next day. Also did nothing for my sleep. Thought I would try it again one last time to see if it would be different this time. No. Couldn't sleep and next day I felt like I had a terrible hangover all day. I had no ...

I take 25-50 mg to help with sleep. My doctor says this is an extremely safe medication, so I'm very happy with it.

I've been taking 100mg of this medication at night for about 1 yr. for restless leg syndrome. It also helped with anxiety attacks and depression. I'm not feeling well lately and I believe I may need to get off the meds for awhile. Lots of headaches and dizzyness.

I take my dose and wait 20 min. or so until I feel it coming on, then it puts me to sleep very well and quickly. I feel taking it and going right to bed is not as effective as waiting till you feel results, regaurdless of what my doctor says. Don't wait too long to go to bed though, when you feel a little light headed, lay down immediatly. If you wait too long it feels like it is not as effective, plus you don't want to be walking all around a little dizzy like/light headed. I take my dose and maybe watch tv, as soon as I feel it working, go to bed and you should fall asleep pretty quickly. I also don't feel it's addictive, I have skipped days here and there and no side effects. Good luck! Read More Read Less

Before my Dr. put me on this med., I was on Celexa. On the Celexa, my depression got worse, I was not sleeping and started sleepwalking. I tried to stop myself which was a major mistake. After talking to my doctor, she put me on trazodon. After only four days, I couldn't belive how much better I felt. I started feeling like myself again. I have gotton my energy back and my smile. This med. gives me night sweats and very strange dreams, but I will take sweating and dreaming weird stuff over feeling the way I felt before the trazodon. I am feeling happy again. I wish my Dr. started me out on this first, but I am happy to be here now.Read More Read Less

A higher degree of anxiety was causing wakefulness around 3AM for at least 30 min. Some nights I sleep through. Taking more than 200mg. caused groggy mornings so I stick to 200mg at bedtime.

I use Trazadone to help me sleep, when I need to and my boyfriends Dr. has prescribed it to him as well, since it is effective for him when he needs something to help him sleep. I have been using it for 5 years without any issues.

I take 300 mgl Wellbutrin xl daily for depression and take 150 mgl of Trazadone for sleeping. I pass out within 15 min, especially if I eat something, I sleep soundly through out night. Best sleep I have ever had.

Takes awhile to kick it, but once it does you're out. Which is hard because it takes so long that you want to take awhile before bed but you want to be in bed when it actually starts working- so it require some planning. Also sleep doesn't consistantly last, and you do not feel refreshed in the morning.

I take this for depression and insomnia. It works very well for both conditions (150mg before bed) The only adverse effect I have is constipation. I have taken this medicine before and requested it from my Dr.

When I am physically exhausted and try to sleep, my brain wants to stay awake and keep the thought process going. By taking trazodone 30-60 minutes before bedtime, I am usually able to fall asleep within 30 minutes of laying down to sleep. Using trazodone has been very helpful.

I would walk around during the day so tired I could not function. This drug is a lifesaver.
