I was started on clomid 50mg due to having irregular periods causing difficulty concieving. I had been using ovulation tests prior to starting clomid and usually i was ovulating.. but not always. Also the length of my cycle would be 38days one month then 27 the next. So I took one round of clomid, I ovulated one week after the last dose of clomid and got pregnant that month! The only side effect I...

I have endometriosis. My Dr. Seems sure that I will be pregnant within 6 months of taking this medication. All this medication does is produces the hormones we are lacking so we can ovulate. It does help regulate your period. I am on Month 3 Not pregnant yet, but it could be that my tubes are blocked (so the egg won't drop). Never the less, the reason for me to post this is because everyone has effectiveness at 1 star when they just started the medications. I cant judge on Satisfaction or Effectiveness, It does look like I ovulated on my temp chart. So I suppose it is effective? Just no Pregnancy yet. Read More Read Less

I had an extremely long cycle (39 days) and after a year I went to a fertility specialist. I took this pill from day 3-7 of my cycle and then got a trigger shot on day 14. A year later, I have a wonderful son and am on this medication again to conceive a second child. Good luck, it was the best thing I ever did for my family!

I was given progesterone from my obgyn to help get my period before I started taking Clomid for infertility... How long did it take to become effective, as in receiving your period?

My husband and I have been TTC for 1 year now. I have always had irregular periods or no periods at all. Early this year I found out by ultrasound that I have PCOS and was perscribed Metformin. Metformin did not work for me, I was on my period all month long. After being off Metformin I didnt have a period for 2 months Went back to my Dr a couple months later then was perscribed Provera 10mg for 10 days, got my period on day 1 after the 10 days of Provera. I start my first round of Clomid on Monday. Really hoping this works for me, because if it doesnt work in the next 3 rounds we have to seek a fertility Dr and that would be heartbreaking......Read More Read Less

My husband and I were having trouble conceiving and when we went to the doctor I was diagnosed with PCOS. He put me on clomid and on the first dose I was pregnant and with twins!!! My doctor had told us it could take up to 6 months. He thinks the reason we got pregnant so fast is because of our age we were both 22. Now I am happy to say we have 2 beautiful and happy children (a boy and a girl) and t are about to turn 1month old!!! I hope all of you get what you are looking for and never lose hope !!! I wish you all the best of luck and I would recommend clomid to anyone who is having issues conceiving! God blessRead More Read Less

I was on Depo shots for several years without the DRs taking me off of it (planned parenthood). Its not meant to be taken for several yrs at a time. It has been 7yrs since I stopped taking it. There is the slight chance that I may not be able to get pregnant and have started seeing a new DR, who put me on Clomid (in Jan 2013. I have begun ovulating and also keeping track of everything with an App called My Days Plus. We are truely hoping this with help us concieve our first child!!! I will keep you posted!!!Read More Read Less

I have had pituitary/hypothalamic suppression issues due long term opiate use for pain control. After 2 weeks of Clomid at 50mg/day, I am feeling better than I have in 20 years. It is amazing! My doctor has used this treatment in male patients for as long as 7 years without problems. It has worked far better than testosterone for me.

Used clomid to get my body to ovulate regularly and produce some nice sized follicles, which it did. Although had hot flashes, drowsiness, and extreme fatigue with a bit of weight gain, clomid worked for me, after only 2 months of use. It reset my body's internal reproductive clock to work efficiently and on time. I am now pregnant! Highly recommend if your period is irregular and you are overweight and your fsh test results are good to excellent.

Ive started my first cycle of clomid cd 2-6 started on the 4th to the 8th of December 2011. The only side affects have been dull headache, anxious, more sexual towards my partner and giddy in a good way during the days I took clomid. I have read a lot of different reviews, forums, patient feedback some are very positive from the writers of clomid users, some are not so good. People need to realise the side affects are different for everyone. Be positive if can and take each days as it comes, I heard acupuncture helps, this did for my friend who has successfully had a baby who is 8 months old. You need to find an acupuncturist who specialises in fertility though. I understand how difficult this process can be, I've had a big operation with a scar from one side of my hip to the other to lift my ovaries up and take away scar tissue in 2009, dye in my tubes 2011 and one tube is blocked although the obg stated it could have gone into spasm so they could not really tell, she said that one tube is still fine, she was unsure why i couldnt conceive Try to stick to the same good doctor or obg as they should know what they are talking about. Some doctors though haven't got the first clue about fertility. I am waiting till 3 rd January 2012 or a few days later to see if this first cycle has worked and if I am pregant if not cycle 2 of clomid. I have been prescribed 3 cycles of clomid, and have another appointment with the obg in feb 2012, just hope I don't need to see her. I wish all the ladies on here the best of luck and baby dust to you all. Xxx northstar xxxx Aged 32 femaleRead More Read Less

My husband and I have been blessed with two beautiful girls that are 15 months apart. We did not plan them to be so close. Now, I wouldn’t have it any other way. They are currently 4&5… So, the present story is that we have tried to conceive for over a year now. Sadly we had a Chemical pregnancy Sept 2011. Then, 6 months later I was hospitalized for Pneumonia. I took Chlomid in Feb before I became ill and thankfully that time it didn't work. I only say that because of the physical hell that sickness put my body through. I am grateful a newly developing baby didn't have to endure it. My cycles are pretty regular, around 27 days. I am feeling healthy and back to my regular self. So I took my 2nd dose of Chlomid this last cycle in May. Now I’m happy to say that I am pregnant. I wonder if I could be pregnant with multiples. I took my 1st pregnancy test at my doctors’ office 5 days before my expected period and they said it was extremely dark. They asked me twice if I am sure I had a cycle in May. "I did and that is when I took the Chlomid." I said. Now, I have been asked to go in again in a few more days for another blood draw to see how my Count is progressing. Maybe they will be able to see at that point and let me know what I can expect. Twins do not run in my family history. So, I will be extra excited to see how the next few weeks play out. I will post again soon. Till then, best wishes on your journey to achieving "Baby" XxXxXRead More Read Less
